A beloved figure in collegiate athletics, Alise Svihla, served as the Associate Athletic Director for Student-Athlete Development and Engagement at Coastal Carolina University (CCU).

In May 2022, she joined CCU and carried out various impactful activities, such as the Teal Impact program.

Tragically, Alise passed away on March 23, 2025, after a courageous battle with colon cancer. She had been fighting cancer since October 2022.

Despite her illness, she remained a positive and inspiring presence, continuing her work and supporting students until late 2023.

In her honor, CCU renamed its Student-Athlete Development and Engagement Department after her, ensuring her legacy lives on.

Alise Svihla Focused More On Her Professional Achievements Rather Than Personal Endeavors!

Alise began her professional career at Florida State University, where she worked with exploratory and undeclared students and interned in athletic academic support.

During her time there, she focused on athletic, academic support, and career development.

Her career spanned over 20 years, during which she made contributions to student-athlete academic success.

Throughout her career, she was known for her ability to connect with student-athletes and guide them toward their career.

Regarding her marital life and other relationships, it seems she was unmarried or married privately.

Neither did she mention her personal relationship, nor was there any public information about her marital status.

She likely maintained her privacy and focused on her career and contributions to student-athlete development.
