He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and worked at Farmin from January 1, 2010.
Schreiner was a former student-athlete and a dedicated member of the Athens High School football team. His time on the field helped build a foundation of teamwork and discipline.

Sawyer Schreiner Passed Away Following Farming Accident
Sawyer Schreiner was a beloved son, husband, and friend who left this world far too soon on Saturday, October 18, 2025, following a tragic farming accident.
He was a reflection of the strong values and dedication inherent in the farming life he cherished.
Schreiner’s untimely passing has cast a shadow of grief over his family, friends, and the entire Athens community. They remember him as a young man who left a lasting mark.
He grew up in a close-knit family, and the neighbors will forever remember his bright smile, humble nature, and unwavering willingness to lend a hand.
He was renowned for his profound connection to the land, his sense of responsibility, and his steadfast loyalty to those he loved.
Moreover, his faith was a cornerstone of his life. He and his family were active and cherished members of Trinity Lutheran Church, whose congregation is now mourning the loss of one of their own.
In response to the tragedy, the community has united in support at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Marathon on Sunday evening, led by Father Joe, to honor Sawyer’s memory and offer solace to the grieving.
Schreiner was married to his longtime sweetheart, Kellie Annala, on June 21, 2025. They were building a life filled with love and promise.
Kellie, a Medical Laboratory Scientist at Aspirus Health who earned her degree from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, has lost her beloved husband and partner.
Schreiner is survived by his heartbroken wife, loving parents, and a wide circle of extended family, friends, and neighbors who are all feeling the weight of this immense loss.
While words cannot ease the pain of this loss, the outpouring of love and the strength of community and faith will help carry his family through this unimaginable time.
The Schreiner family will soon announce a funeral service to celebrate Sawyer’s life in the coming days.
Instead of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a memorial fund established in Sawyer’s honor. It will benefit local youth agricultural programs, ensuring his passion for farming and nurturing the next generation endures as a living tribute to his legacy.
