Weiss’s oldest, Blake, was a center fielder before focusing on track and football. He is contributing to society by working in Denver at a non-profit rehab center.
The second son, Brody, pursued a college career as an infielder, playing for schools like UC Santa Barbara and Westmont College.
He was infected with the dangerous E. coli bacteria at the age of 3 in 1998, which left him at high risk for future infections. He contracted MRSA, a staph infection that is resistant to antibiotics, and doctors had to take special precautions.
Bo Weiss, the third son, continued the family tradition at his father’s alma mater, the University of North Carolina, as a pitcher.
Despite being born with a club foot, he overcame significant physical challenges to develop his skills on the mound.
