Wes Henson, aka Captain Dee-Fense, a Baltimore, Maryland native and Ravens true fan, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving her wife, daughters, and loved ones devastated.

Henson, who was with the Ravens since the franchise’s inception, to his recent demise, won the hearts of many with his immense love and support for the team over the decades.

A cancer survivor himself, Henson dedicated his life to inspiring and motivating other Ravens fans, attending charity events, weddings, and birthday parties.

He also visited sick fans in the hospital, providing autographs from players to them and cheering them up.

For his remarkable contribution to the Baltimore community and the Sports field, Wes Henson was inducted into the Ravens Hall of Fame Fan.

Furthermore, the untimely death of Wes Henson has left a profound void in the lives of his family, friends, and loved ones.

His youngest daughter, Chandra Henson Wilson, took to her social media to announce the passing of her beloved father, Wes Henson, and pay tribute to him.

The post reads:

“It’s with a heavy heart and this difficult post that I must say my daddy passed away peacefully on Sunday. My sister Donella Henson Oleston and mother were devastated but he had family by his side.”

Chandra further added:

“If you knew my dad, then you know he was larger than life and loved life, my mother used to say, ‘you are just like your father,’ and that I am. We miss him so much as does anyone who knew him. He will be in everyone’s hearts.”

Wes Henson was a great husband to his longtime wife and an amazing father to his daughters, Chandra Henson Wilson and Donella Henson Oleston.

While very little information is available about his wife, as she prefers to maintain a low profile, Wes Henson’s daughters are thriving in their respective careers.
