Baseball Coach Jason Trask Obituary- The South Shore Baseball coach, Trask, passed away on December 26. Trask was only 45 years old.

Several family members and parents of the kids whom Jason had coached took to social media to pay their tributes to the baseball coach. Jason was a long-time coach and general manager at the South Shore Baseball Club.

During his heyday, Jason played as a catcher and walked on as the no.2 catcher at Southern New Hampshire. Previously, at age 23, on the South Baseball Club’s website, Jason shared his dream of managing a baseball team and working on the business side.

The Trask family hasn’t disclosed the cause of Jason’s demise. But the South Shore Baseball Club’s Facebook page has shared that Jason’s demise was sudden and unexpected.

Baseball Coach Jason Trask Obituary

The South Shore Baseball Club coach, Jason Trask, passed away suddenly on December 26 at age 45. Trask was the coach and director of operations at the South Shore Club.

A graduate of Duxbury High School, Trask later graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a sports management degree. He became Seadogs head coach in 2003 and previously worked in various minor league administrative positions from 1999-2001.

Jason played in the Fall League for Frank Niles Jr during high school. In his sophomore year at Duxbury, he began attending the club in Hingham and started getting in extra batting and catching.

He started his journey at SSBC as a second team member on the Florida spring training trip and eventually became a counselor at SSBC camps and clinics. 

In his playing days, Jason was the catcher, and during his senior year at Southern New Hampshire, he won the team’s 10th Player Award with a batting average of .350. 

Jason had also previously worked as the director of the Group of Sales and Stadium Operations at Richmond Braves. He also was an assistant general manager of the Fayetteville Swamp Dogs, a college summer league team.

Tributes From Family For Trask

The baseball coach, Jason Trask, was a son, a brother, and a father. His closest family members have mourned the loss of his life by sharing tributes for him on their social media handles.

Trask was the only son of Mark and Janet Trask. He had two sisters, Andrea Bliss and Shannon Sorensen. On her Facebook handle, Andrea wrote, “None of the pictures are right; none of the words are big enough for all of who he was: Jason Trask.”

“My brother died today. But he is forever loved.” Shannon changed the profile picture on her Facebook page to her, Andrea, and Jason, celebrating Christmas.

Jason’s dad, Mark, shared a picture of him and his son and shared the song “Moulin Rouge” by Helmut Zacharias and his Orchestra.

Mark wrote that this was the same song his parents would play and dance around the kitchen. Janet also changed her profile picture to her son to mark the loss of his life. 

Jason’s wife, Kathleen, hasn’t shared any statement. The baseball coach shared a daughter named Bailey with Kathleen. Kathleen works as a director of business operations and insights at Sanofi and previously shared that her daughter had shown interest in volleyball.
