Born on September 8, 1958, in Atlanta, Georgia, Michael Steven Fulcher Sr. lived a life marked by service, family, and community.

He was a U.S. Army veteran who served as a paratrooper in the 82nd Airborne Division.

Later, he dedicated much of his life to the U.S. Postal Service as a mailman in Norcross, Georgia.

In due course, he was reported to have been involved in coaching baseball.

Beyond his professional roles, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather.

Fulcher’s passing left a void in the hearts of his family, wider community, and those who knew him.

His daughter, April Fulcher, shared a heartfelt Facebook tribute, saying:

Rest in Peace, Dad! 😇

Mom, Bubba and I love you! Last night, we shared a Porterhouse Steak in honor of you as we reminisced on all the good times with you from our childhood! We laughed! We cried! It was healing! ❤️‍🩹

Angelina adored her PaPa and she will keep her special necklace close to her heart forever! 💕

Your story is an example of God’s prevailing love for His son’s and daughter’s. Psalm 34:18 “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.”

I can hear the “Eye of the Tiger” song blaring from heaven! Your family and your 5 grandkids will continue to make you proud!

Likewise, one of his childhood friends recalled moments with him and said:

I’m so sorry, April. Your dad provided so many fun memories from my childhood. I still do the “Hawaii Shot” on occasion with my own kids. They wonder how I learned that weird basketball shot. I tell them “Mailman Mike.” Your family is in my prayers.

Michael Steven Fulcher Sr. is survived by his wife, Lisa Cofer Fulcher; two daughters, April and Bubba; and grandchildren, Elijah, Olivia, Caleb, and Angelina.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to former Coach Michael Steven Fulcher Sr.’s family, friends, and well-wishers.

Rest In Peace, Legend!
