Beatrice HS Student-Athlete Greyson Willey Passed Away At 15, Leaving Behind His Father Codie And Mother, Alysha Willey

Beatrice High School’s student-athlete Greyson Willey’s father, Codie Willey, is a parts salesman at Zoellner Ford Lincoln of Beatrice.

Tragically, Greyson Willey, a varsity football player at Beatrice High School, passed away in June 2025 at the age of 15. However, the cause of death has not been revealed yet.

Greyson’s uncle, Adam Blazek, organized a fundraising campaign on GoFundMe to help Willey’s family financially. He wrote,

Hello, my name is Adam Blazek. My sister and her husband lost their beloved 15-year-old son, Greyson Willey, unexpectedly. The Willey family is in need of assistance raising funds for funeral costs, hotel expenses, and other unexpected costs. They are in need of these funds within the next two weeks. All help, little and small, will make a huge impact on this hurting family! Thank you.

The campaign aims to collect over $16,000, but it has only collected $9,050.

He also announced that he will be setting up a direct donation on Monday, June 9, 2025.

Laura Saladino shared the GoFundMe link on his Facebook handle and requested everyone to donate. She wrote,

I’m posting again. This sweet boy was taken too soon. His family and our whole town is grieving. Greyson was a smart, kindhearted, silly, and very sweet young man. He’s been best friends with Ryan for as long as I can remember. Please consider donating and sharing this to help Greysons family out.

Beatrice, Nebraska resident Nicole Allen also took to her Facebook and sent prayers to Greyson’s family. She wrote,

Other close relatives and family members have also extended their heartfelt condolences and sent prayers to Greyson’s family, encouraging them to stay strong during this challenging time.

He will always be remembered for his contributions as a football player at Beatrice High School. His family will soon reveal the funeral service schedule.

Greyson Willey’s Parents Are Mourning The Tragic Loss Of Their Son

Born in February 2010 in Beatrice, Nebraska, Greyson Willey was raised by his father, Codie, and his mother, Alysha Willey.

His parents got married on Sunday, March 11, 2018. As of 2025, they have been married for over 7 years.

According to Codie’s Facebook profile, he has been serving as a parts salesman at Zoellner Ford Lincoln of Beatrice since March 6, 2023.

On June 7, 2025, Codie took to his social media and uploaded a photo of his son, Greyson, as a tribute with a caption,

Moreover, Codie thanked everyone for their prayers and support. He wrote,

On the other hand, Alysha is also mourning the tragic death of her son, Greyson.

Codie and Alysha have always supported Greyson in achieving his football dreams. They used to attend his games to cheer him up and motivate him.

Additionally, Greyson is survived by his sister, Kynley Willey, born in 2013. Recently, on May 21, 2025, Codie wished Kynley a birthday on Facebook.
