The athlete was Brazil’s second-highest-ranked female tennis player in 2014, the same year she turned professional.

In addition to that, she won her first WTA Tour doubles title with compatriot Paula Cristina Goncalves against Irina Falconi and Shelby Rogers in the finals.

Maia reached the third round of the 2018 Australian Open and was recognized as having the best Grand Slam performance.

Additionally, in the Fed Cup, the premier international team competition in women’s tennis, Beatriz represented Brazil.

Scaff was a well-recognized and successful tennis player in her youth.

Not to mention, Beatriz’s grandmother, Arlette Scaff Haddad, was also a professional tennis player during her era.

Her maternal family was of Lebanese descent, and the family name originated from the Levantine family in Aramaic.

Haddad’s sister, Andrea Haddad Maia, just recently got engaged to her long-term boyfriend.

Haddad began to play at the age of five and turned professional at the age of 18 in 2014.

Additionally, in 2010, Haddad played the first event of her career on the ITF Circuit in Brazil, resulting in a victory in one doubles title.

In addition to that, Maia won two doubles titles on the ITF circuit and one single title in 2011.

Eventually, in 2013, she started to play her first WTA main draw at Florianopolis, reaching 2r and winning two singles titles on the ITF Circuit.

In 2015, she won one WTA doubles title and also one double title on the ITF Circuit, but she had to miss all post-Wimbledon events due to surgery on her shoulder.

In the 2022 Australian Open, Haddad Maia and Podoroska would play, but Podoroska’s abdomen was injured, and she was replaced by Kazakh Anna Danilina. They won the honor of hosting the warm-up event in 2022.

During her play in the Indian Wells Open 2021, the player lost against Maitane Arconda for qualification, but she was eventually selected for the main draw after a withdrawal by 29th seed Nadia Podoeoska.

Additionally, Maia, on June 21, 2022, played against Kaia Kanepi in the Eastbourne 2nd round at the Rothesay International.
