However, he did not mention the name of the player. In various UNLV forums, people speculate that the player is Ben Christman.

Additionally, many are sharing Matt Fortuna’s post and confirming that the player is indeed Ben Christman.

There was a Twitter post confirming the death of Ben Christman, but it has since been deleted.

Despite this, fans remain convinced that the player who passed away is indeed Ben, stating:

Just Days After Transferring to UNLV, Ben Christman Tragically Passed Away, Leaving The World Far Too Soon!

Nicknamed as Big Ben, Christman had a notable football career. He began at Ohio State, where he joined as part of the 2021 recruiting class.

He red-shirted his first season and played as a reserve lineman in 2022.

Christman was a highly-rated prospect known for his impressive performance in high school, where he was a four-star recruit and the top-rated offensive lineman in Ohio.

After two seasons at Ohio State, Christman transferred to the University of Kentucky.

Unfortunately, he missed the 2023 season due to a knee injury. In 2024, he played in a reserve and special teams role for Kentucky.

Following a challenging season for the Wildcats, Christman entered the NCAA Transfer Portal and eventually transferred to UNLV in January 2025.

The untimely demise of Ben Christman has left the entire community in mourning.
