Jet Ortiz passed away earlier this week, leaving his family and loved ones devastated.

A native of Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania, Jetzreel ‘Jet’ was a cherished member of the sports community and touched the lives of many with his kind nature.
He was one of the original members of Berks County Rugby Club and led his team in several victories.
Furthermore, Jet Ortiz was also a beloved member of the Jacksonville Youth Rugby Wolverines in Jacksonville, Florida, where he resided until his recent passing.
Prior to joining Jacksonville Youth Rugby Club, Jet won the hearts of many with his exceptional collegiate rugby career, having played in Iowa Central Community College‘s rugby team and at Arkansas State University as a center.

He played the game with toughness, passion, and heart, and those who had the privilege to know him will never forget the energy he brought to our program. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jet’s family, friends, and all who loved him during this incredibly difficult time.May he rest in peace.”
