Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania, and Jacksonville, Florida, communities are mourning the untimely death of beloved athlete and resident, Jetzreel Gonzalez, aka Jet Ortiz.

Jet Ortiz passed away earlier this week, leaving his family and loved ones devastated.

While some report states Jet died after a fatal motorcycle crash, his family hasn’t yet disclosed the details surrounding his untimely death.

A native of Sinking Spring, Pennsylvania, Jetzreel ‘Jet’ was a cherished member of the sports community and touched the lives of many with his kind nature.

He was one of the original members of Berks County Rugby Club and led his team in several victories.

Furthermore, Jet Ortiz was also a beloved member of the Jacksonville Youth Rugby Wolverines in Jacksonville, Florida, where he resided until his recent passing.

Prior to joining Jacksonville Youth Rugby Club, Jet won the hearts of many with his exceptional collegiate rugby career, having played in Iowa Central Community College‘s rugby team and at Arkansas State University as a center.

The untimely death of Jet Ortiz has left a profound void in the lives of his family, friends, and loved ones.

Many of his loved ones are paying tribute to Jet Ortiz on social media and extending their heartfelt condolences to his family during this difficult time.

Breks County Rugby Football Club took to its official social media and wrote:

“Jet was one of the original members of our Berks County Rugby family — a fierce competitor on the field and a genuinely kind, smiling presence off of it. He played the game with toughness, passion, and heart, and those who had the privilege to know him will never forget the energy he brought to our program. Our thoughts and prayers are with Jet’s family, friends, and all who loved him during this incredibly difficult time.May he rest in peace.”

One of his loved ones wrote:

“RIP Jet Ortiz. We shared the pitch representing PR as Coquis. Hell of a player, so sad that someone so young and full of potential has passed. Rest in peace brother.”
