Blake Martinez’s wife, Kristy Martinez, hails from California and graduated from Arizona State University in 2017. Kristy shares two beautiful girls with the former football player.
Kristy has supported Blake in all his ventures, whether it was to become an NFL player or retire to become a Pokemon card dealer. She has stuck by him, and now he needs her support more than ever.
The couple tied the knot in 2019, and their relationship is going strong, but the same can’t be said for Blake’s career as a Pokemon card dealer.
On August 7, reports came of the former New York Giants linebacker being accused of fraud by a top online marketplace. The platform where he used to sell Pokemon cards, WhatNot, has permanently banned him.
The retired NFL player previously said he made $5 million in seven months by selling Pokemon cards. Last month in July, The Athletic reported that Martinez’s revenue had crossed the $11.5 million mark.
Blake Martinez, Wife Kristy Martinez, Is A Real Estate Agent
Blake Martinez’s wife, Kristy Martinez (nee Kearney), is a native of Livermore, California. The better half of Blake Martinez grew up with two siblings, both brothers.
Kristy Martinez, an Arizona State University graduate, completed her bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies in 2017. Her mother, Marci Kearney, has previously shared a few family photos of Kristy with her brothers, Kyle and Jake, on her Facebook handle.
Kyle Kearney is a school counselor at Saint Clement Catholic School, and Jake works as an account executive at Quantcast. The three siblings have clearly chosen three different fields to pursue.
Since her graduation, Kristy has been working as a real estate agent at Coldwell Banker. Previously, when Jake was with the Green Bay Packers, the couple lived in Wisconsin. But as he moved to the New York Giants, he had to sell the property.
At the time, Blake used the expertise of his wife and her real estate agency to sell the property. The former NFL player had bought the house for $299,000 in 2017 and listed it for sale at $329,000 in 2020.
At the start of the year, it was revealed that Blake and Kristy were selling their SoCal home for $6.3 million after buying it only seven months ago. But this time, there weren’t any reports of Kristy and her agency being involved in the sale.
Blake And Kristy Martinez Tied The Knot In 2019
Blake Martinez announced to the world he had found “The One” in 2017. The former NFL player shared his first post with his wife, Kristy Martinez, in April 2017.
It was an appreciation post for his girlfriend and future wife, which he captioned with a sweet message.
The Stanford graduate thanked Kristy for tolerating his weirdness for more than ten seconds and wrote whenever he is with her, the place becomes more merrier than Disneyland.
The young couple’s relationship moved quickly as six months after their first post, they announced their engagement. In an interview with the New York Post, Martinez revealed he proposed to Kristy at a New York City restaurant during a bye week.
The couple tied the knot two years later, in August 2019, but even before their wedding, Blake and Kristy were blessed with a beautiful daughter.
Blake And His Wife, Kristy Martinez, Are Parents To Two
Three months after being engaged, the couple announced they were expecting a bundle of joy to arrive in August 2018.
The couple announced the news on Instagram holding balloons that read, “New Read,” “August 2018.” On April 25, 2018, Blake shared a photo of him preparing for the arrival of his daughter as he finished building a crib.
Kristy and Blake welcomed their first child, Kinsley Martinez, on August 4, 2018. Blake announced her arrival by sharing a photo of him holding his newborn.
Since then, Blake has shared family photos of him and his firstborn on his Instagram handle. He had also previously shared a snap of Kinsley trying to use his computer and take control of his Twitch streams.
Previously, Blake also shared a video of Kinsley joining him to play Animal Crossing, the father-daughter duo’s favorite way of killing time during the pandemic.
On February 13, 2021, the former New York Giants player announced the couple’s second baby was on the way. He shared a photo of Kinsley wearing a T-shirt that read, “Promoted To Big Sister.”
Martinez hasn’t shared much about his second child, also a baby girl. She has only appeared once in a family picture Blake shared on Kinsley’s fourth birthday last year.
