Bobby Bonilla, a former MLB player renowned for his stints with the Pittsburgh Pirates and the New York Mets, has been happily married to his second wife, Christina Attanasio Solomon-Bonilla.

Six-time All-Star Bobby Bonilla has been celebrating the famous ‘Bobby Bonilla Day’ on July 1 with his loving wife, Christina Attanasio Solomon-Bonilla, for years—including this year, when he collected another $1.193 million from the New York Mets.

While this year the couple chose to celebrate ‘Bobby Bonilla Day’ privately, back in July 2023, his longtime partner—now wife—Christina Attanasio Solomon-Bonilla, encouraged Bobby Bonilla to share the day with Mets fans.

The couple surprised fans at 99 Bottles in Sarasota, offering $1.19 pints of Captain Lawrence Orange Crusher.

Bobby Bonilla often expresses his love and respect for his longtime partner, Christina, regarding her as his constant support and love of his life.

While information about when the couple began dating or tied the knot is not publicly available, Bobby Bonilla started seeing Christina after his divorce from his first wife, Migdalia ‘Millie’ Bonilla.

Bobby Bonilla and his former wife, Migdalia, were married for over two decades before their separation in 2009.

The couple had an acrimonious divorce and disagreed over the division of assets, including LLCs, with Migdalia claiming Bobby hadn’t fully disclosed financial information about the companies.

According to reports, Bobby had publicly stated that his former wife suffered from an unspecified mental illness, which she reportedly found upsetting.

The former couple also shares two children, a daughter named Danielle and a son, Brandon Bonilla, who is following in his father’s footsteps and pursuing a baseball career, primarily as a pitcher.

Brandon Bonilla was drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 13th round of the 2016 MLB Draft, and he has played in the Orioles’ minor league system, including stints with the Aberdeen IronBirds.

He was also a standout player at Grand Canyon University and Arizona State.

Despite his divorce from Migadalia, Bobby Bonilla maintains a close relationship with his children and has found love again in his longtime partner, Christina.

Bobby Bonilla’s Wife, Christina Solomon-Bonilla, Is An Exceptional Tennis Player

Like her husband, Bobby Bonilla, Christina Solomon-Bonilla is an accomplished athlete. She is an avid golfer and tennis player based in Sarasota, Florida.

Christina Solomon-Bonilla has maintained a competitive presence on the tennis court over several years, with a 4.0 USTA rating as of December 31, 2022, and an estimated dynamic rating of 3.5840 as of June 27, 2025.

Her match history reveals active participation from 2015 to 2022, with her strongest performances occurring in 2016 and 2021.

In 2016, she played 38 matches, winning 30 and posting a 78.9% win rate. That year, she also won 75% of sets and over 60% of games. In 2021, she had another strong season, winning 20 out of 26 matches (76.9%) and claiming nearly 68% of her sets.

Over her career, Christina has played a total of 183 matches, with a solid win percentage of 65%.

Similarly, she has won 61.2% of sets and 55% of games overall.

In addition to being an amazing athlete, Bobby Bonilla’s wife, Christina, is also a proud mother of three successful kids: daughter, GiGi, and sons, Roman and John Solomon, whom she shares with her former husband, John Solomon Sr.

Like Bobby Bonilla, his stepsons, John and Roman, are thriving in their sports careers.

John Solomon played basketball at the University of Montana, leading his team to win the Big Sky Tournament in his freshman year.

Prior to Montana, John Solomon played basketball at Sarasota Riverview High School in Florida, where he won an Arizona Class 6A state title and averaged 3.6 points per game.

Similarly, Bobby and Christina’s other son, Roman Solomon, is excelling in golf, winning several honorable titles. He currently plays for the University of South Florida men’s golf team.

Roman Solomon also plays on the Underrated Tour and won the 2022 Curry Cup, placing top 5 nine times in 2022. He also won the title of 2021 Mack Champion Invitational Champion and 2023 PGA Pathway to Progression Champion.

Additionally, Solomon placed in the top 20 at the 2023 Junior Orange Bowl and has been ranked as high as 5th in the state of Florida.
