The 20-year-old is expected to be a first-round pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.

Ashton Jeanty, the standout running back for the Boise State Broncos, is regarded as a top RB prospect for the 2025 NFL Draft.

His impressive stats and performances have put him in the national spotlight, and he is expected to be a first-round pick.

Behind the 20-year-old‘s athletic exploits lies a supportive family, particularly his father, Harry Jeanty, whose influence has been instrumental in shaping Ashton’s footballing journey.

Born on December 2, 2003, in Jacksonville, Florida, Ashton Jeanty is the son of Harry Jeanty and Pamela Altieri-Jeanty.

Harry Jeanty was a dedicated U.S. Navy chief petty officer.

After graduating from Deerfield Beach High School in 1993, Harry continued his path to achieving a college degree by enrolling at Columbia College in 2009.

During his time in college, he married Jeanty’s mom in 2011.

He graduated in 2014 and enrolled at Regent University in 2015.

Not much public information is available on Ashton’s mom, Pamela, but according to her Facebook, she works as a special education teacher at Prosper Independent School District.

Harry’s military career led the family to various locations, including a significant three-year assignment in Italy.

During this period, Ashton attended Naples Middle/High School, where he was introduced to organized football.

Initially positioned as a quarterback, he transitioned to running back and quickly excelled, proving his natural talent and setting the stage for his future in the sport.

Recognizing Ashton’s potential and the need for more competitive opportunities, the Jeanty family relocated to Frisco, Texas.

Ashton enrolled at Lone Star High School, where he continued to excel in football.

His high school career was marked by impressive statistics, including 1,843 rushing yards and 41 total touchdowns as a senior, achievements that caught the attention of college scouts nationwide.

Harry’s military discipline and commitment to excellence profoundly influenced Ashton’s approach to football and life.

He instilled in Ashton the values of discipline, resilience, and a strong work ethic, which is evident in his abilities on and off the field.

In October 2024, Ashton launched the Ashton Jeanty Endowed Scholarship for Football.

Ashton’s mom made a statement regarding the noble venture. She quoted,

We are so proud of Ashton and the man he has become on and off the field.

We recognize the impact pursuing one’s dream can have on families and we will be forever grateful to those who came before us and made an investment in Bronco football. Like Ashton, we will always Bleed Blue. We hope you will join us and fund this scholarship.

Ashton has often spoken about the importance of his faith and family in his life.

In interviews, he has expressed gratitude for his family’s unwavering support, attributing much of his success to their guidance and encouragement.

Having been introduced to ‘faith’ by his parents at an early age, Ashton revealed that it did not make much sense to him in his childhood, but as he grew older and wiser, he became more and more convinced of God’s influence in his life.

In an Instagram video with the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Ashton quotes,

I like to say that I’m a Christian cleverly disguised as an All-American running back.
I’ve learned that God has blessed me with amazing talents. I’ve just been able to do a lot of great things with it, but at the same time, not losing yourself in it and understanding that my identity is in Christ.
