Brodie King, a 16-year-old Bradley Central High School athlete, passed away due to a car accident on May 24, 2025.

He fought hard to overcome his injuries for five days but tragically left the world, leaving his parents, Chris King and Brandie Price Rominger, behind.

Brodie’s passion for football was evident from an early age.

He honed his skills with the LFMS 7th/8th Grade Bruins before advancing to the Bradley Central JV and Varsity Football teams.

Coaches and teammates remember him as a tenacious, hardworking athlete whose enthusiasm and leadership on the field inspired those around him.

Similarly, his coaches often remarked on his fearless play style and relentless drive, which reflected his commitment to excellence.

Off the field, Brodie balanced athletics with a part-time job, showcasing his maturity and work ethic. Yet his humility and genuine care for others truly defined him.

Friends recall how he uplifted those around him, whether with a quick joke, a helping hand, or a listening ear, making everyone feel valued.

I woke up at 3am with Brodie on my mind, as I was praying God reminded me of the miracles he performed on the 3rd day, the first was his resurrection and walking out of the tomb on that third day.
In medical trauma the first 3 days are huge. We are at day 3 and Brodie needs a divine miracle only God can perform. Please share this with everyone, we need your prayers.

Brodie King’s Family Mourns The Tragic Loss

Brodie King was a vibrant 16-year-old student-athlete at Bradley Central High School who tragically left the world too soon following a car accident.

His sudden departure has left his family, friends, teammates, and the Cleveland community heartbroken, mourning the loss of a young life brimming with promise, kindness, and unwavering dedication.

Brodie was a beloved son whose radiant spirit and quiet strength touched everyone he encountered.

His parents, Chris King and Brandie Price Rominger, are divorced, but their shared love for Brodie remains a constant in his life, and their grief is immeasurable.

Chris King, who studied at the Tennessee Technology Center of Athens, is in a relationship with Kelli Ray.

Meanwhile, Brandie Price Rominger, a Certified Surgical Technologist and materials manager at Surgery Partners, is in a relationship with Justin Rominger.

I want to thank everyone that has taken time to pray and send kind words for Brodie and our family. It has really touched our hearts to see everyone come together for him. Words can not express how much it has meant to us.
John 16:22
So also you have sorrow now, but I will see you again, and your hearts will rejoice, and no one will take your joy from you.

Chris King

Brodie was full of promise, the kind of person who would go out of his way to help someone without being asked.

More than an athlete, he was a beacon of light in his community. Teachers and peers admired his positive attitude, infectious laughter, and ability to unite others.

His family cherished him as a loyal son and friend whose adventurous spirit and love for the outdoors brought joy to everyday moments. Moreover, he had been happily in a relationship since October 2024.

Although his journey was cut short, his impact endures. He taught the power of kindness, perseverance, and living wholeheartedly.

Our thoughts and prayers are with the family and friends of Bradley Central Junior, Brodie King. He attended our Middle School Team Football Camp back in 2022. Prayers for his teammates, coaches and family.

Smoky Mountain Fellowship of Christian Athletes

The King family will hold a memorial service to celebrate Brodie’s life, during which loved ones will gather to honor his legacy.

Instead of flowers, the family requests donations supporting youth athletics or road safety initiatives in his memory.

Rest in peace, Brodie King. Your light will forever guide us.
