Born on July 12, 1999, to father Jake and mother Sonja Marsh in Buford, Georgia, Erin Marsh began her athletic journey while attending Buford High School, also her brother Brandon’s alma mater.
While Brandon Marsh excelled in football, basketball, and baseball at Buford High School, his sister Erin Marsh showcased her amazing skills competing in track, cross country, and cheerleading.
Similarly, Erin Marsh led her high school team to several victories and earned numerous honors.
She is a five-time USATF All-American, a 2017 New Balance Nationals Indoor All-American in the pentathlon, the 2014 USATF Junior Olympic champion in the 400-meter hurdles, a state champion in the 300-meter hurdles in both 2015 and 2017, and a member of the state champion 4×400-meter relay team in 2017.
In addition to track and field, she was also lettered in cross country and cheerleading at Buford High School.
Erin Marsh continued her athletic journey at Duke University, winning several honorable titles, including All-ACC First Team for Outdoor Track and Field in the Heptathlon, All-ACC First Team in the High Jump and Pentathlon for Indoor Track and Field, and many more.
Furthermore, Erin Marsh, representing the United States, won the gold medal in the heptathlon at the 2023 Pan American Games in Santiago, Chile.
