Breaux Greer, a retired American track and field athlete who competed in the javelin throw, has had his longtime wife, Katy Mixon, by his side through all the good and bad times.

The couple tied the knot in October 2016 and have been happily married for almost a decade.

Breaux Greer and Katy Mixon are also proud parents of two kids, a son named Kingston Saint, born in May 2017, and a daughter named Elektra Saint, born in May 2018.

Before becoming known as the wife of renowned track and field star Breaux Greer, Katy Mixon and her parents had already established their presence in the entertainment industry.

Katy Mixon, born on March 30, 1981, in Pensacola, Florida, is an American actress and model.

The daughter of Dr. Fred Mixon and Donna Lee Field Mixon is best known for her roles in The Quiet, Four Christmases, Eastbound & Down, and the ABC sitcom American Housewife.

She is also a proud sister of six siblings, most of whom are involved in the art, music, and acting fields, including her sister, Emily, Laura, and brother Joel Mixon.

Additionally, back in 2015, Katy Mixon, along with her parents, Fred and Donna, and siblings, Joel Ashby and Emily Ann Mixon, appeared in Celebrity Family Feud.

They aimed to raise money for Mitchell’s Place, a nonprofit organization in the Birmingham area that helps individuals affected by Autism Spectrum Disorders.

A Louisiana native, Katy Mixon’s mother, Donna Mixon, was chosen Miss Tangipahoe Parish in 1966 and was third runner-up to Miss Louisiana.

Furthermore, Donna Mixon, a graduate with a degree in Theater from the University of Southern Mississippi, guided Katy Mixon and her siblings in their acting journey from a very young age.

Donna Mixon, a seasoned stage performer, has also delighted audiences in Pensacola, playing iconic roles such as Mame in Mame, Mrs. Harcourt in Anything Goes, Clairee in Steel Magnolias, and Mrs. Beauregard in Willy Wonka, among many others.

She is currently a lead teacher at Mixon Magic Performing Arts, a Boutique performing arts studio located in Pensacola, Florida, owned and operated by her daughter, Katy’s sister, Emily Mixon.

Likewise, she served as the lead teacher for Acting Out! and co-directed Annie Jr. in the summer of 2023. She also assists her daughter, Emily, and the students with jazz squares to band-aids and even Dum Dums! at MMPA.

Katy Mixon’s Father, Fred Mixon, Is A Physician And Medical Consultant

While Katy Mixon’s mother, Donna Lee, is excelling in her career as an artist, her father, Fred Mixon, is thriving in his over six-decade-long career as a medical consultant.

Fred Mixon began his career as a senior medical officer at the U.S. Navy Branch Clinic at Navy Supply Corps School in Athens, GA, in 1976, where he served as the sole physician for 3,000 active-duty personnel, retired personnel, and their families.

He further continued his career running his own clinic and serving as the lead physician and staff physician at Sacred Heart Hospital in Northwest Florida for over two decades.

From 1985 to 2003, Dr. Fred Mixon served as the Medical Director at Sacred Heart Outpatient Clinics and later became the Chief Medical Officer of Sacred Heart Health System, serving in that position for 19 years.

Likewise, Fred Mixon was promoted to Assistant CMO in May 2012 and served in his position as a medical consultant and staff physician at Sacred Heart Urgent Care Center from 2012 to 2022.

He resigned from his position in 2022 after suffering from a serious illness. Upon recovering, he worked at an Urgent Care Center in Fairhope, Alabama, on a part-time basis during 2023 until early 2024.

Fred has also been a certifying physician in the state of Florida’s sponsored Medical Marijuana program.

Furthermore, Fred Mixon earned his Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) from Louisiana State University School of Medicine in 1973 and his Bachelor of Science, Pre-Medicine from LSU, Baton Rouge.

While at LSU, Fred Mixon excelled in sports and played for the men’s football team in the mid-1960s.
