Brentwood QB George MacIntyre Credits Parents Matt and Sarah For Their Support: ‘Their Love Means Everything To Me’

George MacIntyre, Brentwood Academy quarterback, is making his parents and family proud of his achievements at such a young age.

George MacIntyre displayed his passion for sports from a young age and began his football journey, joining Brentwood Academy in 2022.

As a sophomore, George led Brentwood Academy to the 2022 state semifinals by throwing for 2,342 yards and 19 touchdowns.

Similarly, he excelled in his junior year, completing 67.3 percent of his passes for 3,229 yards and 25 touchdowns, earning first-team all-state honors and being a Player of the Year finalist.

George also led Brentwood to the 2023 state quarterfinals during his junior year, and as a senior, he completed 187-of-283 passes for 2,723 yards, along with nine rushing touchdowns.

Considered the No.1 overall recruit in the Volunteer State by ESPN, No.2 by On3, and No.3 by 247Sports, George MacIntyre continues to thrive in his football career.

The four-star Brentwood QB committed to the Univeristy of Tennessee on January 2024 over offers from Alabama, Clemson, Duke, Colorado, and many more.

Behind the emerging career of George MacIntyre stands his parents, who supported and guided him in pursuing his sports dreams.

Talking about his parents, George MacIntyre was born in Franklin, Tennessee, to father Matt MacIntyre and mother Sarah Huddleston MacIntyre.

George MacIntyre often talks about his parents and feels grateful for their constant support.

Although very little information about his parents is available as they prefer to maintain a low life, his father Matt’s LinkedIn profile displays that he currently serves as a territory manager at Penumbra Inc., a global healthcare company.

Similarly, his mother, Sarah, has been a business owner of Redbox+, a dumpster roll-off rental company, since 2019.

George MacIntyre Comes From An Athletic Family With A Strong Tradition Of Sports Excellence!

The Brentwood Academy QB comes from a big, proud, athletic family, with most of his family attending and playing football for the University of Tennessee.

George MacIntyre inherited his football genes from his grandfather, the late footballer and coach George Wallace MacIntyre.

George Wallace MacIntyre served as the head coach at the Univeristy of Tennessee at Martin from 1975 to 1977 and Vanderbilt University from 1979 to 1985.

Furthermore, George’s late grandfather played as a quarterback at Andrew Jackson High School in Florida and college football at the Miami Hurricanes football team from 1958 to 1960.

In addition to his head coaching career, he also served as assistant coach of Jacksonville Parker High School, Vanderbilt, Liberty, and many more.

George’s grandfather also won several honorable titles throughout his career, including the Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year Award, Sporting News College Football COY, and SEC Coach of the Year.

Likewise, George’s father, Matt MacIntyre, played football while pursuing his bachelor’s degree in business at Western Kentucky.

However, he decided to pursue a career in business instead of sports.

In addition to his father and grandfather, George’s uncle, George Michael MacIntyre, aka Mike, is an exceptional coach and former footballer.

Mike served as the head coach of Florida International Univeristy from 2022-2024, at San Jose State from 2010 to 2012, and at Colorado from 2013 to 2018.

Moreover, Mike began coaching in 1990 as a graduate assistant at Georgia after playing defensive back at Georgia Tech and Vanderbilt.

He won several honorable titles for his coaching skills, including AFCA Assistant Coach of the Year, AP Coach of the Year, Bobby Dodd Coach of the Year Award, and many more.

George MacIntyre continues to carry forward his family legacy in football by showcasing his amazing football skills.
