The 44-year-old American college football coach, Neal Brown, is married to his wife, Brooke Stewart, who used to be a kindergarten teacher. However, she transitioned into a homemaker when their firstborn arrived.

Neal Brown is no longer the head coach for the West Virginia University (WVU) football team as he was fired after 6 seasons in Morgantown.

Before this role, he served as head coach at Troy University and held coaching positions at Texas Tech University and the University of Kentucky.

As a player, Brown competed at the University of Kentucky before transferring to the University of Massachusetts Amherst, where he played as a wide receiver.

Recently, Brown faced scrutiny following the West Virginia Mountaineers’ 49-35 loss to the Baylor Bears on November 17, 2024.

This defeat sparked outrage among fans, many of whom are calling for a leadership change.

During his six-year tenure at WVU, Brown has accumulated a 34-33 record but has yet to secure a win against a team that finishes in the AP Top 25 rankings.

Additionally, his teams have not been ranked in the Top 25 at any point during his leadership.

A group of disgruntled fans, calling themselves “Wolfpack,” had launched a campaign to remove Brown from his position.

Through the website firenealbrown.org, they expressed their frustration, stating their belief that the message for change has already been made clear.

Ultimately, their wishes were granted when Neal Brown was removed from his position.

She plays softball for the UHS softball team and recently celebrated a major victory when her team won the AAA state championship.

Anslee, the youngest daughter, participates in gymnastics and enjoys competing in the sport.

Neal Brown And His Wife, Brooke Stewart, Attended The Same High School and University

Neal and his wife’s families had a connection long before they were born.

Neal’s father moved to Brooke’s hometown when he was a freshman in high school.

Meanwhile, her father and Neal’s uncle both coached high school basketball, forging a long-standing bond between the families.

The couple grew up in Danville, Kentucky, attending the same high school before both enrolling at the University of Kentucky.

During college, Neal played football while their relationship blossomed.

Later, when Neal transferred to the University of Massachusetts to continue his football career, the couple maintained a long-distance relationship.

On the seventh anniversary of their first date, Neal proposed to Brooke, and the couple got engaged that same evening.

They married within a year and have now been happily together for 18 years.

Their enduring love, mutual understanding, and strong partnership have been central to their relationship.

Neal has often expressed his gratitude for Brooke’s unwavering support, saying,

“She’s been by my side through the ups and the downs of this profession. She’s a constant coach’s wife. I wouldn’t be standing here today without her. She’s the head coach at home, but she will also have a prominent role in our program.”
