Bryan Danielson and Wheeler Yuta Set to Team Up on AEW Dynamite: Title Tuesday

AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson recently officialized that he is teaming up with fellow 27-year-old wrestler Wheeler Yuta, aka Paul Soren Gruber, in the upcoming AEW Dynamite: Title Tuesday.

The announcement was made instantly during the event of AEW Dynamite’s 5th anniversary on October 2, 2024.

The special occasion had begun with PAC, Claudio Castagnoli, Marina Shafir, and Jon Moxley demeaning Wheeler Yuta, calling him indecisive to side them over Bryan Danielson.

Later, several matches occurred, and among many, Bryan Danielson vs. Kazuchika Okada’s AEW World & Continental Championship was one match that ended up teaming Bryan and Yuta.

What actually happened was that Bryan had already defeated his rival, Okada, in the match. But as Okada became a bit vengeful, the fight extended, messing it up as the other wrestlers, Claudio, Marina, and PAC, as they got into the ring and started attacking Bryan Danielson.

In defense of Bryan, Wheeler Yuta rushed over to help the AEW World Champion and challenged Bryan’s rival, saying they had to face him before getting to Bryan. His statement read,

Claudio! Pac! I am sick and tired of the two of you treating me like a child! I’m not a child. I am my own man! I can make my own decisions, and I can fight my own fights. And speaking of fights, next week, Title Tuesday, if the two of you want to get to Bryan Danielson, you’ll have to go through me too!

After that, Bryan Danielson stood up and showed his support to Wheeler Yuta for what he stated and announced their cooperation in the upcoming match. Bryan said,

Next week, Title Tuesday, Bryan Danielson and Wheeler Yuta against Claudio and Pac!

Well, as both Bryan Danielson and Wheeler Yuta have agreed to team up in the fight against Claudio and Pac in the coming Tuesday episode, the match will surely be a blast.

Wrestling enthusiasts had already anticipated Bryan Danielson and Wheeler Yuta’s coordination!

Some three years ago, somebody posted a title, “[Dynamite Spoilers] Post-Match Discussion Thread: Bryan Danielson Vs Wheeler Yuta,” on reddit. Beneath the comment section, many gushed about the possibility of teaming up between the two wrestlers.

One of the reddit user named rocketsauce2112 wrote,

One reason why this was such an awesome match is that you know Wheeler Yuta is the kinda guy who has grown up watching Bryan Danielson, probably studied every piece of tape on Bryan that he could find. Then he finally gets to face the American Dragon on national television and he’s probably going to get to team up with Bryan, Mox, and Regal. Bet that kid is over the moon

Well, since the beginning of his career in 1999, Bryan Danielson has been leaving a mark in the wrestling world with his impressive records.

He has even been considered one of the greatest professional wrestlers of all time, with several titles, including Inspirational Wrestler of the Year and 26th Triple Crown Champion. He has also been the WWE Champion four times.

Bryan’s other achievements include ranking among the top 10 men’s wrestlers in 2018, ranking in the top 8 positions among the top 10 wrestlers in 2021, and being No. 1 of the top 500 wrestlers in the PWI 500 in 2014.

Compared to Bryan, Yuta is a fresher in the industry because he started professional wrestling precisely one and a half decades after Bryan’s debut.

So, very obviously, Yuta is much junior and less experienced than Bryan. However, the two will now be in the same frame, wrestling for one another, and that would be pretty interesting to watch.
