Wide receiver Khalil Shakir and his wife, Sayler, have been married for 3 years.

Khalil Shakir first met the love of his life, Sayler, during their time at Boise State University.

During that time, both were student-athletes; Khalil played football, and Sayler was on the soccer team.

Eventually, they began dating while still in college and eventually made their relationship public in early 2021 through Instagram posts.

After more than a year of dating, Khalil proposed to Sayler on March 29, 2022.

Sayler later shared her excitement on Instagram, saying, “I’ve never said a more confident YES.

The pair tied the knot less than a year later, on March 13, 2023, at the beautiful Ruby Hill Winery in Northern California.

In June 2025, the couple announced they are expecting their first child together. Sayler shared the news on Instagram with a photo of them holding a sonogram, writing “December ❤️.

Khalil Shakir’s Wife, Sayler Shakir, Is a Fitness Coach!

Sayler has built a career in fitness and education. She graduated from Boise State in 2022 with a degree in Kinesiology and Exercise Science.

Since then, she has worked as a fitness coach at Orangetheory Fitness.

Before that, she held jobs in the hospitality industry. She even worked as a teaching assistant at Bloom Early Learning Center.

Sayler has held various roles, from working as a teaching assistant to coaching with Girls on the Run International.

Throughout their journey, Khalil has openly spoken about how grateful he is to have Sayler in his life.

After signing his $60 million extension with the Buffalo Bills, he got emotional at a press conference and said,

My wife has been here with me every step of the way. She’s my rock. I wouldn’t be where I am without her.

Sayler, too, has shown her love and support in public. She has posted messages like, “You are so deserving,” after Khalil’s big contract news.

Likewise, she is often seen at Bills games, proudly cheering for him from the stands.

On their first wedding anniversary, she called him “the best husband in the world.”

From college sweethearts to an NFL family, Khalil and Sayler have had a sound journey.
