Despite being together for four decades, Richard and Karyn keep their married life spicy, like sometimes going fishing or being sarcastic and trying new things together.

Karyn is religiously active on her Instagram. However, unlike Karyn Richard isn’t available on social media and stays lowkey away from media.

Mack Hollins’ Father, Richard Hollins, Was a Collegiate Football Player!

Hollins’ journey from an overlooked high school athlete to a Super Bowl champion is one of a kind. However, one of the most gratifying things in his life is his parent’s constant support and encouragement.

His father, Richard Hollins, is much aware of the demands of his football career, for he also played college football and had dreams of playing in the NFL himself.

A standout wide receiver at Zanesville High School, Richard earned a scholarship at West Virginia University, where he played from approximately 1980 to 1983.

Standing 6-foot-2 and weighing 180 pounds, Hollins was recognized for his remarkable performance by being named to The Associated Press All-East football team.

For his recognition, Richard’s achievement was also published in The Times Recorder newspaper in December 1983.

According to the newspaper, Richard caught 47 passes for 749 yards during his senior season, contributing to the Mountaineers‘ impressive 8-3 record.

Richard broke the school record for career reception yardage, surpassing the previous record of 1,930 yards set by Cedric Thomas in 1983.

Likewise, he also holds prominent positions in West Virginia’s record books, ranking high in multiple receiving categories.

As a sophomore, Richard recorded 754 yards on 37 receptions, the second-best in school history at that time.

Richard also boasted pretty good stats, recording 105 receptions, 1981 yards, and 16 touchdowns in 36 games.

Thanks to his impressive college career, the Detroit Lions selected Richard in the 1984 NFL Draft. However, things didn’t go as planned for him.

Richard suffered a torn ACL injury, which cut short his professional aspirations. Nonetheless, Richard is living his football aspirations alive through his son’s flourishing career.

After football, he started as a personal training assistant manager at Lifetime Fitness.

Karyn Hollins, Mack’s mother, has built a successful career in sales. Hollins recalled an incident when his mother underwent emotional turmoil after he faced a three-day suspension, saying:

Seeing my mom cry over something that I had a part in gets me more than anything.

Karyn, a proud mother of three boys, shares the achievements of the Hollins brothers on her Instagram.
