According to Spud’s official Facebook page, he lived in Twin Lakes, New Mexico.
Spud Jones continued to chase the thrill of the arena in the 2025 PBR Team Series.
Standing 6 feet tall and weighing 145 pounds, he brought over a decade of experience to the circuit.
With one career event win and lifetime earnings totaling $7,459.03, Jones competed in both the Touring Pro Division and the prestigious Built Ford Tough Series, highlighted by top finishes in Craig and Perryton, Colorado, in 2007.

An actor, comedian, and speaker, Tatanka Means took to his official Facebook page and offered his heartfelt condolences, sending prayers to Spud’s family. He wrote,
Condolences to the family and relatives of Spud Jones. Sad to hear he journeyed on. We rode bulls together way back in jr rodeo days he always had a good attitude and was a tough talented rider and went on to ride professionally. I remember when he rode at the NFR. Good memories. Spud Jones was born to his father, John Jones, and his mother, whose identity has not been disclosed.
