Golfer Carter Henning’s parents have remained out of the spotlight while providing support during his challenging days following an accident and throughout his career.

Carter Henning, a freshman at Calamus-Wheatland High School in Iowa, has recently made headlines for his inspiring resilience.

Two months ago, on September 23, 2024, he suffered a severe injury in a snowmobile accident that resulted in the amputation of his left leg.

Fortunately, his injuries were non-life-threatening, and he was kept overnight for observation.

Despite this life-altering event, Carter has returned to competitive sports with remarkable determination.

He is currently the number one golfer on the Calamus-Wheatland varsity golf team and is also preparing for another season of varsity baseball.

Beyond golf, Carter is also involved in baseball at Calamus-Wheatland High School. He plays as a point guard for the varsity team and wears jersey number 1.
