Quentin Lake was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Carnell and Monica Lake on January 29, 1999.

He attended Mater Dei High School and has two siblings: a younger brother named Austin and an older sister named Siena.

Growing up, Quentin preferred basketball over football but eventually fell for football.

During his high school years, Quentin was recognized as a three-star prospect by both Scout.com and Rivals.com. He had an impressive senior year, earning the All-CIF Division I title and recording 28 tackles, two interceptions, and nine pass breakups.

Quentin’s success continued into his collegiate career at UCLA, where he was recognized as Second-Team Academic All-Pac-12 in his sophomore year in 2018.

He was also inducted into the National Football Foundation’s Hampshire Honor Society for his exceptional performance both on and off the field.

In addition to his athletic accomplishments, Quentin was praised for his academic achievements, receiving the Athletic Director Honor Roll acknowledgment for all five years he attended UCLA.

During his senior season in 2021, Quentin led his team with 21 passes defensed and was honored with First-Team All-Pac-12 recognition by Phil Steele.

Quentin Lake’s NFL Career

Lake’s journey in the NFL has been full of ups and downs after being picked in the sixth round with the 211th overall pick by the Rams in the 2022 NFL Draft.

He began the 2022 season on the reserve/PUP (physically unable to perform) list due to an injury. Despite this setback, he persevered and played in nine NFL games during his rookie year.

On November 12, 2022, Lake achieved a significant milestone in his professional football career. He was successfully activated from the reserve/PUP list and joined his team on the field once again.

Lake shares a special connection with his father, who also played in the NFL for the Steelers. Lake wears the same number, No. 37, that his father wore during his playing days.

This is a meaningful tribute to his family and a source of inspiration for Lake as he continues to pursue his dreams in the NFL.
