Cascade Senior High School Track Athlete Dylan Gordon Passes Away Leaving Behind His Mother Cindy Gordon And Three Brothers

Former track & field athlete at Cascade Senior High School, Dylan Gordon, has tragically passed away.

Dylan Gordon was a dedicated multi-sport athlete at Cascade Senior High School in Clayton, Indiana, graduating with the Class of 2017.

Standing at 5’9″ and weighing 135 pounds, Dylan played an essential role on the school’s varsity football and track & field teams.

During the 2014-2015 season, he recorded a total of 23 tackles, including 16 solo stops, along with one sack and a fumble recovery.

His average of 4.6 tackles per game exceeded the national average of 2.8, underscoring his effectiveness and reliability as a defender.

In the regional rankings, he placed 14th in West Central for total sacks.

Some of his standout performances came during key matchups in the 2014 season.

Against Cloverdale on September 19, he tallied 10 total tackles, including 7 solo, helping his team secure a 14-6 win.

The previous week, in a tough loss to Clinton Central, Dylan managed 6 solo tackles and 2 tackles for loss.

Dylan Gordon’s Untimely Death Has Made Everyone Devastated

Former track & field athlete at Cascade Senior High School, Dylan Gordon, tragically passed away in July 2025.

However, the exact cause of death has not been revealed yet.

Gerald Claxton, who works at Clax Shack LLC, took to his Facebook handle and mourned the tragic loss of Dylan. He wrote,

This cruel ass world…im just at such a loss for words with this one, I don’t even know where to start. For the majority of my life, if you saw me out, you seen DG right along side. My literal day 1 and my brother for life. We held each other down through every trial and tribulation over the course of our whole life thus far. The dude who literally showed up for me no matter what time or how far. The type of friend anybody would be lucky to have, and I was blessed with 20+ years of that. My dance partner and the one who always matched my energy no matter what. Always made sure everybody was having the best time possible. My best fucking friend man… I love you Dylan Gordon , and your family, friends, and little girls will never forget you as long as I’m around . I will make sure everybody knows the badass, compassionate, rowdy ass, big hearted, full of life person you were from day 1

Dylan Gordon Ever since I can remember you were my best friend.. All the way to the end I will never forget or regret all the dumbass late nights with you.. or just growing up with you period.. God blessed me with a built in best friend that I could rely on for literally my whole life.. I love you buddy

Lexie Maureen, an office administrator at Embracing Abilities, Inc., took to her Facebook handle and remembered Dylan’s kindness and energetic personality. She wrote,

It’s been a while since we talked, but I’ll always remember how genuinely kind, funny, and energetic you always were, everyday. you were cool with everyone, always had good energy. you had a way of making people laugh when they needed it most, and that’s something not everyone has. i’m so glad i have these videos/pictures from high school. just these few show your character and show how everyone around you was always laughing. praying for your family & friends as they navigate through this tremendously hard time. Gone way too soon. Rest easy, Dylan. 🤎🪽

Other close ones and relatives have also poured their heartfelt condolences and sent prayers to Dylan’s family to stay strong in this heartbreaking moment.

Dylan will always be remembered for his unforgettable contributions as a track & field athlete at Cascade Senior High School.

His family will soon announce the funeral service schedule. Rest in Peace, Dylan Gordon.

Dylan Gordon Is Survived by His Parents And Three Brothers

Track & field athlete Dylan Gordon was born to his mother, Cindy Gordon, and his father, whose identity has not been revealed yet.

As per Cindy’s Facebook handle, she lives in Clayton, Indiana, and has been serving as a manager at McDonald’s since September 21, 2019.

Cindy has always supported Dylan in achieving his academic and athletic dreams.

She is currently mourning the tragic loss of his son, Dylan Gordon.

Dylan is also survived by his three brothers: Jeremy, Cameron James, and Jacob Wells.

Jeremy went to Cascade High School and is serving as a journeyman carpenter at Carpenters Local 301.

Cameron lives in Hadley, Indiana, and also went to Cascade Senior High School and worked at GCC Steel Erectors.

Dylan’s third brother, Jacob Wells, lives in Indianapolis, Indiana, and is a former warehouse supervisor at Johnson’s Commercial Flooring.

He also worked at Gerber Collision & Glass. Jacob was engaged to Easter Freouf on October 18, 2021.

Currently, Cameron, Jacob, and Jeremy are mourning the death of their supportive brother, Dylan Gordon.
