Joel Bane is a top catch wrestler and the leader of Snake Pit U.S.A., one of the most prominent names in catch wrestling worldwide.
Recently, comments under a social media post about his upcoming Spring 2025 Catch Wrestling Camp in Hammonton, New Jersey, have sparked rumors of a DUI arrest.
Speculations surrounding alleged police footage involving Bane, a Corvette, and so-called “drunken childish behavior” is making rounds online.
The rumors started when a commenter, Will Allgeyer, commented under Bane’s camp announcement, writing:
Hey man was watching the police footage of ya, ever get that vette back? That was some pretty impressive police scaring.
Will Allgeyer
Likewise, another user, Chris Dixon, asked if it was the same Joel Bane, to which Allgeyer confirmed, “yeah.”
The thread took a sharper turn with Henry Tetreault’s comment. Henry accused Bane of “drunken childish behavior” that could’ve gotten him “shot in most anywhere else in the country.”

Tetreault went on to say Bane had “permanently destroyed” his reputation and embarrassed his family and urged him to seek help.
The comments suggest an incident involving police, a Corvette possibly Bane’s, and behavior that intimidated officers.
Henry Tetreault wrote:
Joel, no doubt you’ve got an impressive resume but you’ve permanently destroyed your reputation with that drunken childish behavior and honesty you should or would have been shot in most anywhere else in the country for the act you pulled. Thank god for you those cops were all intimidated by you.
Henry Tetreault

Others see it as a DUI arrest, with Allgeyer’s mention of “police footage” implying body cam footage. However, no official reports, news articles, or police releases have surfaced to confirm these claims.
