Chad Leavitt of Lethbridge, Alberta, suddenly passed away on September 16, 2025. He was 52 years old.
His brother, Kasz Leavitt, shared the tragic news on Facebook along with the obituary of Chad. According to the obituary shared by the Leavitt family, Chad was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend.
Chad is survived by his wife, Shannon Leavitt (nee Bateman), his children, grandchildren, brothers, and his father.
The loving member of the Leavitt family was predeceased by his mother, Coralee, his siblings, Randi and Kyle, and his mother-in-law, Wendy.
The Lethbridge resident was also a dedicated member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. According to his family, Chad loved to serve and was diligent in all his assignments and callings.
The 52-year-old had a very strong and unwavering belief in Jesus Christ. His faith was firm and sincere.
Moreover, he lived according to his beliefs. He is said to have taught others and guided them not just through words, but by showing Christlike behavior in his own actions.
Chad Leavitt Was The Eldest of Five Siblings
Born Chadney Bruce Leavitt, Chad Leavitt is the eldest of five children of his parents, Bruce Leavitt and Coralee Quinton. He was born on April 14, 1975, in Cardston, Alberta.
His siblings include Tyler, Kasz, Randi, and Kyle. As mentioned above, his mother and brothers, Randi and Kyle, have already passed away.
Leavitt lived most of his life in Lethbridge, Alberta, but because of his jo, he also lived in different places across Canada and the United States.
His career required him to travel a lot, so he was frequently on the move. However, specific career details were not mentioned.

Chad Leavitt shared four children with his long-time spouse, Shannon (Bateman) Leavitt. The Leavitt couple’s children are Kelci (Cody) Green, Jaidyn (Justin) Schneyder, Parker, and Brookelyn.
In addition, the couple also has two grandchildren, and two more are on the way to join the Leavitt family.
His marriage to Shannon was his greatest joy. He adored his children and shared a unique bond with each, always showing love and care.
In recent years, becoming a grandfather is said to have brought him immense happiness. “He cherished his grandchildren, always ready to play, laugh, and care for them. Papa was their favorite.”

As per his obiturary, a Funeral Service will take place on Monday, September 22, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lethbridge Stake Centre, 2410 28 St S, Lethbridge, Alberta.
Friends may visit with the family at the church on Sunday, September 21, 2025, from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m., or on Monday from 10:00 to 10:30 a.m. before the service.
Additionally, the Leavitt family requests to visit their floral store to send flowers or plant a tree in memory of Chadney Bruce Leavitt.
