A young football player, Mirl Cortez Timmons V., of Cleveland, Ohio, took his last breath on November 4, 2025, at the age of 18.

Sadly, he passed away just 13 days after celebrating his 19th birthday. Thus far, the precise details surrounding his untimely demise remain unknown.

Mirl Cortez Timmons V. is survived by his mother, Latasha Johnson, a younger sister, and extended family members.

None of his family members has broken their silence about his tragic demise so far.

Mirl Timmons played wide receiver for Charles F. Brush High School’s varsity football team in Lyndhurst, Ohio.

As a senior in the class of 2026, he was all in for his last high school season, having stuck with the squad since his freshman year back in 2022.

He lined up as a wide receiver from the start, showing that speed and heart that made him a go-to guy for big plays.

His sophomore year in 2023, the team wrapped up at 2-8 overall, going 0-2 in conference and landing at No. 448 in the state rankings; not the best record, but Mirl was out there grinding, catching passes and pushing through a tough stretch.

Then, as a junior in 2024, he kept at it, helping the Arcs to another 2-8 finish, 0-2 in league play, and climbing just a spot to No. 454 statewide.

Please keep my friend lifted in prayer. Latasha, I love you, friend.
Mirl was deeply loved and will be forever missed. His light, laughter, and kindness touched so many hearts, and we are greatful for the memories we will always carry with us.

Whereas, his funeral service is scheduled for Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 12:30 PM and at 1:00 PM at the same location.

During this challenging time, we pray for the strength of Mirl’s mother, friends, teammates, and extended family.
