Jack Fox, a senior at Chattanooga Christian School, is proud to continue his family’s sports legacy while enjoying his basketball journey.
Born as one of seven children to parents Tommy and Tara Fox, Jack Fox began his athletic journey from a very young age.
Aspiring to play basketball at the collegiate and professional levels, Jack has had an impressive senior season for CCS, averaging nearly 30 points per game. The 5’11” point guard wears jersey #12.
For Jack Fox, it is more about enjoying the game and having fun, unlike many who put pressure on themselves to build their career in sports.
With his remarkable performances, Jack has not only won the hearts of many and won numerous titles but also has made his parents and family proud with his emerging career.
Furthermore, Jack Fox is continuing his family’s legacy in sports, following in the footsteps of his parents, Tommy and Tara, his elder sisters, and his late grandfather, all amazing athletes.
Sports run in the blood of the Fox family. Jack’s late grandfather, Thomas Luther Fox Jr., played basketball at the University of Chattanooga and went on to become a basketball coach at Pace Academy, Woodward Academy, St. Pius Catholic High School, and SE Whitfield County.
Similarly, both his parents, Tommy and Tara Fox, are former Mountain State University athletes.
Jack’s father, Tommy, played basketball at Notre Dame High School and became Chattanooga’s all-time leading scorer, totaling 2,888 career points.
Tommy Fox went on to continue his athletic journey at Mountain State University, where he served as the captain of the men’s basketball team, which competed in NAIA Division 1 ‘Sweet Sixteen’ and was selected to the Great Lakes all-conference basketball.
Jack’s mother, Tara Fox, was an all-conference volleyball player at Mountain State University and later became a standout basketball player and softball player at Hiwassee College, where she was named all-conference.
Likewise, all of Jack Fox’s elder sisters, Ella, Anna, and Caroline, are amazing softball players.
Ella Fox plays softball for the Liberty Flames. Before that, she excelled as an athlete atthe University of North Carolina and Wayne Christian High School.
While in high school, Ella was a four-year letterwinner, a four-time NCISAA All-State, and won several honorable titles.
Jack’s another elder sister, Caroline Fox, also played softball as an infielder at the University of North Carolina and was a three-year letter winner at Zion Christian and a two-year letter winner at Wayne Cristian School, playing middle infielder for her father, coach Tommy Fox.
The eldest among the seven siblings, Anna Fox, played softball at the University of Michigan and Tennessee and is a proud graduate of Zion Christian Academy, where she won numerous honorable titles.
Anna also played five years for Alabama Sparks Elite and was placed fifth at the PGF Premier Nationals in Huntington Beach, California.
Jack Fox’s Father Tommy Fox, is Thriving in His Career As Athletic Director and Head Coach
While very little information about Jack’s mother, Tara’s professional journey is available as she prefers to maintain a low profile, his father, Tommy Fox, has built a remarkable career in sports.
Tommy has been serving as the head basketball coach, director of Boys basketball, and assistant athletic Director at Chattanooga Christian Schools.
Jack’s father, Tommy Fox, began his coaching career at his alma mater Moutain State University, where he led the Cougars to the nation in scoring for two consecutive seasons.
He then continued his journey at his Notre Dame High School, also his alma mater, and became the head varsity boys basketball coach and physical education teacher in 2007.
Throughout his tenure of nearly three years, Tommy led the Fighting Irish to their first-ever district title in 2010 and won several honorable titles.
In 2018, Coach Fox was named the Southern Tennessee Coach of the Year.
Prior to joining CCS, Tommy Fox served as the assistant athletic director and athletic director at Zion Christian Academy.
He also served as the head varsity and junior varsity boys basketball coach and head varsity softball coach at Zion Christian Academy for eight years.
During his stint, Tommy led his boys’ basketball team to the Sweet 16 Tournament three years and led his softball team to win back-to-back state championships.
Now Tommy serves as the head basketball coach, guiding his son and his team to excel in their athletic journey.
In addition to Jack, his younger siblings, Millie, Ben, and Shelby, also attend CCS and are amazing athletes.
