Anderson’s bicycle crashed with a tractor-trailer on Friday morning in LaPorte County, Indiana. The collision happened just before noon at the intersection of State Road 39 and County Road 900 North, where Anderson was riding with a group of bicyclists.

According to the Police, Anderson was riding with a group of cyclists along the shoulder of State Road 39. Meanwhile, a CMV (tractor-trailer combination), driven by a 64-year-old man traveling south on SR 39, entered the left lane to pass the group.

While the vehicle was trying to move in a passing zone to overtake the group of bicyclists, Anderson just happened to turn left onto County Road 900 North. Despite the driver’s attempt, the vehicle steered further left to avoid Anderson.

However, Anderson collided with the trailer and was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash took place just before noon.
