Baylor Cupp and Cooper Kupp don’t have any familial connection despite sharing similar last names. That said, they are connected by their successful NFL careers.

Baylor Cupp is a tight end who plays for the Kansas City Chiefs, while Cooper Kupp is a wide receiver for the Los Angeles Rams.

Although many of you might have wondered if the two NFL stars are related, Baylor and Cooper don’t have a familial connection. The similarity in their last names is nothing but coincidental.

They hail from different families and regions. Cooper Kupp’s journey started from Washington to the NFL, while Baylor Cupp began in Texas before he solidified his position in the NFL.

The Rams wide receiver Cooper Kupp was born on August 15, 1993, in Yakima, Washington. He honed his skills at Davis High School before playing college football at Eastern Washington University.

Eventually, the Rams drafted him in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft. In nearly no time, he became one of the most reliable wide receivers in the league.

Cooper has had a successful career with the Rams, including leading the NFL in receptions, receiving yards, and receiving touchdowns in 2021.

On the other hand, Baylor was born on May 10, 2000, in Brock, Texas, and attended Brock High School. He went on to play college football for Texas A&M and Texas Tech before entering the NFL as an undrafted free agent in 2024.

Baylor Cupp and Cooper Kupp Don’t Have Blood Relations With Different Families and Backgrounds!

Speaking of their families, Cooper Kupp hails from a family with a rich football heritage. He is one of only five in NFL history to have three generations selected in the NFL draft.

Cooper’s grandfather, Jake Kupp, was an NFL offensive lineman, and his father, Craig Kupp, was a quarterback who briefly played in the NFL.

His grandfather Jake’s career included stints with the New Orleans Saints and the Dallas Cowboys from 1964 to 1975.

The New York Giants drafted Cooper’s father, Craig Kupp, in the fifth round of the 1990 draft but was released before the season began.

Later, Craig joined the Phoenix Cardinals, spending time on the practice squad before making his NFL debut in 1991.

He later moved to the Dallas Cowboys, although he did not get a chance to play in any games for them.

Cooper Kupp has two elder brothers, Cade and Ketner, who have also played college football.

Baylor Cupp’s family is rooted in Texas. He was born to parents John and Sarah Cupp. He has a younger sister named Emily, who is also involved in sports and played volleyball in high school.

While Cooper and Baylor may not be related by blood, their shared last name and dedication to football are common threads.

Cooper’s rise to fame with the Los Angeles Rams and Baylor’s determination to overcome injuries and secure a spot in the NFL speaks volumes about their hard work and passion.

Though their family trees differ, Cooper Kupp and Baylor Cupp have made their mark in the football world with their outstanding skills.
