Chris debuted in the NBA with the New Jersey Nets after being selected with the 40th overall pick and signed the rookie contract in July.

Two months later, Chris was traded to Milwaukee Bucks by the Nets for a 2012 second-round draft pick.

Later, in September 2011, the former NBA player joined Virtus Bologna, an Italian professional basketball club based in Bologna, Emilia-Romagna.

Moreover, the next year on October 1, Douglas signed a deal with Los Angeles Lakers and was waived by them on October 22.

The Michigan native landed a deal with the Dallas Mavericks on October 27 along with Melvin Ely, but only to get waived the next day.

The former NBA player continued playing with the Texas Legends until getting signed by the Charlotte Bobcats, now Charlotte Hornets.

Chris again found himself stuck in the waive-offs; after the Clippers, he was acquired by the Boston Celtics in a three-team trade, including the Phoenix Suns, and was waived. THEN he signed with New Orleans Pelicans but was waived again.

With the Pelicans, the shooting guard only featured for five preseason games, and after the waiver, he was acquired by the Texas Legends.
