She was a dominating force in women’s tennis, as visible through her 18 major singles titles. She remained on top of the world ranking for a record-breaking 260 weeks.

Alongside her exceptional career, Chris Evert’s married life and romantic tie-up were interesting to explore. She has exchanged vows thrice until now.

Chris Evert Left Her Second Husband, Andy Mill, to Marry His Best Friend, Greg Norman, Who Became Her Third Husband!

Though Chris Evert had multiple love affairs and marriages, her last marriage with Greg Norman is the most famous.

Greg Norman is the third husband of the tennis legend. Their love story began in 2006 when they left their respective spouses to be together.

She divorced her husband, Andy Mill, after 18 years of marriage, while Greg ended his 25-year marriage to Laura Andrassy.

Their union sparked a significant rift in media, as social media and celebrity media were on their peak growth.

Chris and Greg dated for a year or two before they tied the knot. Greg Norman was best friends with Andy Mill, Evert’s husband, which added more complexity to their relationship.

After divorcing each other’s respective partners, Chris and Greg announced their engagement in December 2007 during a golf tournament in South Africa.

They married six months later in a low-key ceremony in the Bahamas on June 28, 2008. Both of them were over 50 at the time of exchanging vows.

However, despite the initial joy of their marriage, friends of the couple expressed doubts about its longevity.

Reports indicated that Evert and Norman had strong personalities and egos, leading to conflicts.

Even though both had a common ground in tennis, they never established a shared home.

While Greg Norman lived at his estate in Jupiter Island, Chris lived in Boca Raton. Unfortunately, just 15 months after the wedding, by October 2009, the pair announced their separation.

The split was finalized in December of the same year without any financial exchange due to a pre-nuptial agreement.
