Chris Pollard’s beloved wife, Stephanie, has been a devoted supporter of her husband’s coaching career and actively encourages her two sons in their baseball pursuits.

Chris Pollard is a well-respected baseball coach and former pitcher, currently serving as the head coach of the Virginia Cavaliers.

He played college baseball at Davidson before transitioning into coaching.

Over his career, he has led teams at Pfeiffer University, Appalachian State, and Duke, where he became the winningest coach in Duke baseball history with 420 victories.

Pollard was officially hired as the head baseball coach at the University of Virginia on June 10, 2025.

He moved to Virginia after spending 13 seasons at Duke, where he guided the Blue Devils to seven NCAA tournament berths, four Super Regional appearances, and two ACC Baseball Tournament championships.

Chris And Stephanie Pollard Likely Connected During Their Time At Davidson College Before Building Their Life Together!

Chris Pollard is married to Stephanie Pollard, who graduated from Davidson College in 1997, the same school as Chris.

While no reports confirm that they were college sweethearts, since they both attended Davidson College and graduated just a year apart in 1996 and 1997, it is likely that they crossed paths during their time there.

Stephanie pursued a career in education and joined Durham Academy (DA) in 2014 as a third-grade teacher.

She later transitioned to teaching middle school math at DA, continuing her career in education.

Over the years, she has been recognized for her dedication to teaching and her passion for helping students succeed.

Although Stephanie Pollard keeps a lower profile compared to her husband’s public career, she has been a steadfast supporter of his coaching journey.

She is active on social media, often sharing family moments, celebrating victories, and marking special occasions with heartfelt posts.

Recently, she has shared anniversary messages on social media, celebrating their long-lasting relationship, with the caption:

Happy anniversary, Chris! Those 25 years went really fast! I’m so lucky to be able to spend every day with my best friend. Here’s to 50 more (at least!!) 🥰😘

The couple has two sons, Thomas and Brady, and they have followed their father’s passion for baseball.

Thomas Pollard graduated from Durham Academy and committed to playing college baseball at Kenyon College.

He has been passionate about the sport since childhood and played varsity baseball at Durham Academy, where he was a two-time varsity captain.

Brady Pollard, a Class of 2026 player, is actively involved in baseball at Durham Academy, where he plays on the varsity team alongside his brother.

He plays as a first baseman and right-handed pitcher and has participated in competitive tournaments.

Though still developing, Brady has already left his mark with memorable moments from childhood backyard games to competitive team play.
