The close community of Clarksville, Tennessee, is mourning the loss of 12-year-old Gus Hannewald, a Little League star, who died on June 13, 2025.

“We are deeply saddened to hear of the recent passing of one of our own. Gus was a bright light for everyone who had the pleasure to know him, coach him and to be his teammate. Our hearts are truly broken and prayers are being said and lifted up for Gus’s family and everyone who was touched by him. Gus you have left a permanent mark on all of our lives you are already missed so much!”
