A mother named ShariLynne Elliott took to Facebook to share an incident that left her furious, involving her daughter, Mehayle Lynnea Elliott, a student at Cleveland High School in Crosby, Texas.
Her daughter is dealing with what she calls straight-up bullying from her teacher. And now, Mehayle has filed a formal complaint right there in the school office.
In the post, ShariLynne shared about a phone call from the school’s principal, and the incident spread quickly among other parents and locals.
It all came to a head when the principal called ShariLynne to say that Mehayle was upset and in the office. She was also reporting the teacher.
The call went something like this. Hi, it’s the principal of the high school. I’m calling to let you know that Mehayle is in the office right now and she’s filing a complaint against her teacher Are you aware of what’s going on? Yes ma’am, I’m very aware of what’s going on.

ShariLynne told the principal she knew exactly what was happening. She didn’t hold back and described how the teacher had been picking on Mehayle and other kids in the class.
According to ShariLynne, the teacher called them names like “retarded,” which hurt and humiliated the students.
Likewise, when a child gave a wrong answer to a question, the teacher made them drop to the floor for wall sits.
ShariLynne said this wasn’t fair or right for a classroom setting.
If not, her behavior worsened from that point on. ShariLynne accused the teacher of handing out zeros on purpose to students involved in sports and cheerleading.
She claimed that the teacher did so that students in sports, such as football players and cheerleaders, would receive low grades, which would ultimately drop their eligibility, keeping them out of football games and cheer routines on weekends.
ShariLynne pointed out that this isn’t the teacher’s first complaint, but there have been several complaints about her.
The mother then issued a warning that if nothing changes, she will take the matter to the news and media to bring their attention to it.
She continued:
Teachers are there to educate our children. They are not there to bully them, belittle them, ridicule them, and force punishment as wall sits on them

She also said the teacher isn’t even trained in physical education, so forcing wall sits on students, especially her own daughter, is out of line.
ShariLynne warned the principal, clearly saying:
As many complaints as there have been about the way she has been treating these children, she should be fired! She uses foul language in class and I Quote her (If you snitch on me Ill make your life hell ) dont play with me when it comes to my kids and especially when they are in the right!

Lastly, she warned, saying that if no action is taken, she will show up at the drop-off the next morning at 7 a.m. with a news crew.
The post ignited strong reactions from parents and locals. One commentator, Bridget Lester, called the teacher’s behavior ridiculous and said it’s why she never sent her daughter, Abby, back to Cleveland schools after third grade.
Zanni Wakeman related to the situation, recalling her own tough experiences in special education as a kid, and suggested it’s time to get lawyers involved, saying:
Everybody better lawyer up at this point. It reminds me of when I was a kid myself because I grew up being in special ed
Melissa Bauman-Ely was outraged and demanded that the teacher be fired and lose her teaching license.
