Clifton Central Wrestling Alumnus Seth Raines Passed Away, Leaving Wife and Son Heartbroken!

A beloved husband, son, brother, and new father, Seth Raines, from Clifton, Illinois, passed away untimely on October 27, 2025.

Reportedly, the former wrestler took his last breath after suffering a seizure.

Seth Raines is survived by his wife, Kaitlyne Raines, and their newborn son.

Likewise, Seth leaves behind his parents, Rob and Debbie Raines; his brother, Trevor; his sister-in-law, Ariel Raines; his youngest brother, Jobe Raines, born on May 1, 2018; and his nephew, Rocco Raines.

His father, Rob Raines, took to his Facebook to share the exclusive news of his passing:

It is with a heavy heart to say this. My son Seth Raines suffered a seizure yesterday morning and went to hime to be with the Lord. He is in Jesus.

Following his untimely demise, his sister-in-law updated her Facebook profile and cover picture to one featuring him.

Travis Williams, one of Seth’s friends, wrote to the Clifton Central Wrestling public group

Seth was such a passionate and full-hearted young man who was a part of our Central Wrestling Family. It was a blessing to have an opportunity to coach him and know his family so well.

Thus far, Seth Raines’ family has yet to share details about his funeral and memorial services as they are grieving in private.

During this challenging time, we pray for the strength of Raines’ wife, son, parents, brother, friends, and extended family.
