Chris Beard, an American basketball coach currently serving as the head men’s basketball coach at the University of Mississippi, was married to his former wife, Leslie, for over two decades.

The renowned basketball head coach Chris Beard married his former wife Leslie Lederer in 1996; however, the couple divorced in 2016.

During their twenty years of marriage, the couple was blessed with three daughters, Avery, Ela, and Margo.

While Chris pursued his coaching career, Leslie played a key role in raising their children.

Moreover, Chris and Leslie have remained committed to co-parenting their children despite their separation.

Regarding his former wife, Leslie, although she has been maintaining a private life since their separation, she is a businesswoman.

Leslie was born on June 21, 1974, in Texas. She graduated from McCullough High School in the Woodlands and runs her own jewelry store.

Following his divorce, Chris Beard Became Engaged To Randi Trew

After his divorce from his former wife, Leslie, Chris Beard began a romantic relationship with former Texas Tech volleyball star and Frenship High School head coach Randi Trew.

In December 2022, the couple’s relationship faced public scrutiny following an incident that led to Beard’s arrest on charges of assault by strangulation/suffocation- family violence.

Trew initially told police that Beard had choked and bit her during an altercation.

However, she later rejected these allegations, stating that Beard did not strangle her and suggesting he may have acted in self-defense.

Moreover, she expressed regret for her actions that contributed to the incident and clarified that she never intended for him to be arrested or prosecuted.

Following the incident, Beard was suspended without pay from his coaching position at the University of Texas and subsequently terminated in January 2023.

It is unsure whether the couple is still in a relationship or has parted ways, as neither Chris Beard nor Randi Trew has shared any information.
