Lynn and his wife, Judy Daigle Amedee, shared a long life together, raising their two beloved daughters.

Lynn Amedee, born on August 3, 1941, was a former LSU quarterback and longtime coach.

He played for LSU from 1960 to 1962 and was named the outstanding player of the 1963 Cotton Bowl.

After college, he briefly played in the Canadian Football League for the Edmonton Eskimos.

After his playing career, he transitioned into coaching in 1970 and worked as an assistant at various colleges and professional teams. Later, he became a head coach at Tennessee–Martin and several high schools.

His coaching career spanned decades, influencing teams like Texas A&M, Florida, and LSU.

His influence extended to high school coaching before retiring in 2003.

Tragically, on May 20, 2025, he passed away at the age of 83, leaving behind his family and community.

Lynn Amedee And His Wife Were Together For Many Years!

Lynn Amedee was married to Judy Daigle Amedee, who passed away on September 22, 2021, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, at the age of 78.

Judy, born on January 1, 1943, was a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. Together, they had two daughters, Rene Graphia and Lee Hattaway.

Throughout Lynn’s football career, Judy was a constant source of support, standing by him as he transitioned from playing to coaching.

She helped maintain stability for their family as Lynn moved between coaching positions at various universities and professional teams.

After more than three years of losing his wife, Lynn passed away, leaving his family behind.

He was also a grandfather to Kalyn May, Peyton Graphia, Christopher Hattaway, and Matthew Hattaway, and had a great-grandchild named Bailee May.

His family was an important part of his life, and he was surrounded by loved ones throughout his years.
