Mike Shula, who is no longer with the South Carolina Gamecocks, is married to Shari Shula, with whom he has shared nearly three decades of his life.

On November 2, 2025, South Carolina fired Shula from his position as offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.

The decision, according to head coach Shane Beamer, was made due to the team’s disappointing season and a string of poor offensive performances.

Following his dismissal, Mike Shula himself has not released a public statement about his next move, and the program has not yet announced his replacement for the role.

American Football Coach Mike Shula Has a Wife, Shari Shula, Whom He Has Been Married to for Over Two Decades

Football coach Mike Shula has been married to his wife, Shari Leffew, since July 1999.

The couple has their wedding with their loved ones at St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Tampa.

Shari has been involved in entrepreneurship.

In a 2021 interview, she described starting an online women’s accessory business (bags, scarves, sunglasses) to create work-life balance while raising three daughters.

When asked about her business, she has often mentioned that her daughters helped her and made it better. In the interview, she said;

I am most proud of the bags I’ve designed. I’ve always been creative but never thought I’d have the opportunity to express it in any real way. I’m also extremely proud that my daughters have been involved in the process every step of the way. I want them to realize the power they have over their own lives. That wherever they are in life, if they aren’t happy and fulfilled, they can change it. They can do anything if they work hard and want it bad enough.

Following their successful marriage, coach Mike Shula and his wife, Shari Leffew Shula, have three daughters: Samantha Shula, Brooke Shula, and Ryan Lucy Shula.

Each of their daughters is often featured on Shari’s Instagram, either as models or representing her business, showcasing accessories and her designs.
