Breanna Meadows, a resident of Lindale, Texas, recently shared a post claiming that police removed a coach at Gravity Athletics for verbally attacking a 12-year-old.
In her Facebook post, Breanna explained that her daughter was celebrating a farewell at Gravity Athletics after a three-year journey, which later took a chaotic turn.
Fallyn spent three years playing at Gravity Athletics, a local sports facility where children participate in volleyball and other activities.
Police Remove Coach Instead of Adult Who Verbally Attacks 12-Year-Old at Gravity Athletics in Texas
According to Breanna, things were going well and the celebration was underway until the 3 PM game, when the other team’s coach verbally attacked a 12-year-old.
Breanna mentioned that the child being verbally attacked was not her daughter, but she was concerned for the victim.
After the incident, the facility owners, who were reportedly not present during the game, called the police and had Breanna’s daughter’s coach removed.
According to Breanna, the coach who was verbally attacking the child was not removed; instead, another coach was removed.
While the full details of the incident were not shared in the post, Breanna, who was planning to step away from the platform, is now seeking recommendations for rec volleyball programs where adults behave responsibly.
Following her Facebook post, many have expressed concern regarding the incident, while one of her acquaintances in the comments offered sympathy, saying;
No recommendations, but I am so sorry your daughter had to witness that! We played a team during football season this year and it was awful! Attacking kids, moms going down on the field to verbally attack children and everyone in the stands for that town were absolutely irate over a peewee football game they were losing… it’s such a bad example for their children!
While no details about the coach who was removed or any police reports have been released in the media, Breanna seems focused on raising awareness and finding a better place for her child.
