The Stonecrest, Georgia, community is reeling after an allegation surfaced that a local youth football coach embezzled more than $ 3,000 from the 11U Stonecrest Rampage football program.

The accused, identified as Tobias Lamond Chappell, also known in the community as Coach T, is now wanted in connection with the missing funds and is reportedly on the run.

According to a community alert posted by Brandon Dobbs, Coach T is alleged to have misused money raised by the Rampage program.

The funds collected through donations and team contributions were earmarked for critical needs, including football equipment, uniforms, accessories, snacks, team-building activities, and an end-of-season banquet.

Instead, parents claim the money was drained away, leaving young athletes without the support they were promised.

The accusations extend beyond Chappell alone. The alert alleges that Shereese Carter, also known as Jasmine Carter and identified as the mother of Chappell’s daughter, was granted access to the team’s account.

Through this access, she is accused of helping withdraw or mismanage the funds meant for the players.

The betrayal sparked outrage among parents and community members, many of whom placed trust in Chappell as a leader and mentor of their children.

One commenter, Ikeisha Smith, wrote,

Taking from the youth and community that gave you a chance to be trusting as a coach and betrayal happens. Karma is looking him dead in the face smh sad situation.

Chappell, who is 27 years old and has been known to use aliases such as Tobias Brown or Tobias Jones, reportedly has outstanding warrants in Alabama.

Authorities believe he may currently be moving between Phenix City, Alabama, Columbus, Georgia, and the greater Atlanta metro area.

The case has also raised concerns about accountability and oversight in youth sports programs.

Several parents in the area are now calling for mandatory audits, stricter financial reporting requirements, and a shared responsibility system where no single individual has sole control over team funds.

As of now, law enforcement has encouraged anyone who sports a Chappell to contact 911 immediately.

Despite the setback, many parents say they remain committed to supporting the children in the Rampage program and ensuring the young athletes are not denied the experiences they were promised.
