Colby Jones In The 2023 NBA Draft

The collegiate skilled combo guard with a variety of skills made his way to Chicago for the 2023 NBA Draft Combine.

But Jones chose not to participate in the five-on-five scrimmages or the physical testing (vertical leap, shuttle run, lane agility, three-quarter court sprint). However, he had his measurements taken at the combine.

The 6-foot-4.5 college athlete was interviewing with the NBA teams and going through a workout during agency pro day for the most part of the combine.

At the combine, Jones believed the team he interviewed gave him positive feedback on his playing style.

“The teams I met with just like that, I’m the connector on offense. I do a lot of different things on offense and defense and just making those hustle plays, all of the dirty plays. They like my motor,” Jones said.

“As far as getting better, they just want me to continue to shoot the 3 ball so that I can shoot that and just be aggressive at all times. I feel like that’s what they’re really looking for.”

Jones is ranked 29 among the 2023 Top 100 Prospects and is projected to be picked in the first or second round.

Some mock drafters believe the Indiana Pacers, who have three first-round picks, are interested in Jones.

While some have put forward another possibility of him being picked as No. 28 by the Utah Jazz.
