Daniel “Colt” McCoy, born September 5, 1986, is an American football quarterback and has joined the NBC team as a color analyst.

He was last signed with the Cardinals but was released as part of final roster cuts on August 28, 2023.

The quarterback attended Jim Ned High School and received several distinctions, including two-time Associated Press 2A Offensive MVP and First-team All-State selection.

Later, McCoy committed to playing for the Texas Longhorns and was a four-year starting quarterback, earning four MVP awards.

His NFL journey began as the third-round pick by the Cleveland Browns in the 2010 NFL draft.

Later, he played with the San Francisco 49ers, Washington Redskins, New York Giants, and Arizona Cardinals. However, he mainly served as a backup quarterback.

On a personal note, Colt is married to Rachel Glandorf, and they share four kids: three daughters and a son.

Brother: Case And Chance McCoy

Colt McCoy was born as the eldest among three children of Steven Brad McCoy and Debra Kay (Woodruff) McCoy. His father played collegiate football, and his mother played basketball as a shooting guard.

Colt grew up with two younger brothers, Case and Chance McCoy. Coming from an athletic family, they played different sports since childhood.

All three of the McCoy siblings had a strong bond growing up and used to play football together.

Case McCoy Is Also A Football Quarterback

Casey Burl McCoy, born July 15, 1991, is a former American football quarterback. He is married to Jessica Kennemer, a former cheerleader for the Texas Longhorns.

Colt’s younger brother, Chase, suffered from a rare form of scleroderma, which took a year for treatment.

He played football at Graham High School and later played as a quarterback for the Texas Longhorns.

He was often compared to his older brother and was expected to play better than Colt.

However, after his collegiate career, he embarked on a different journey as a tenant representation specialist for HPI Corporate Services, a commercial real estate company.

Moreover, during his time at the University of Texas, he and linebacker Jordan Hicks were suspended.

The reason for the suspension was their alleged involvement in a sexual assault of a 21-year-old woman.

Chance McCoy Also Played Football During His College Years

Chance, born April 05, 1988, is the younger brother of Colt. He attended Graham High School and was a member of varsity football and track and field teams.

Playing for Graham High School, he led his team to the district title, recording 827 receiving yards and seven touchdowns.

Later, for his collegiate career, Chance played at Abilene Christian University and Hardin-Simmons University.
