Kevin Hovde, the Basketball Head Coach of Columbia University, who joined in March 2025, is married to Jackie Klatsky. The couple tied the Knot on August 12, 2017.

They also have a daughter together. Three of the four family members, except the youngest child, were present during the announcement ceremony.

When the coach met his wife, he was an assistant coach at Columbia University during his first stint.

Coaching Husband And Guard Wife

Kevin Horde’s wife, Jackie, was also a guard for the Columbia University Women’s Basketball team, but it was way before Kevin’s stint with the College.

He was named Director of Basketball Operations in 2011, and later switched to an assistant coach role in 2012 to compete in the Ivy League.

The coach then joined the University of San Francisco Dons as an Assistant Coach in 2016, and after a couple of years, he was promoted to Associate Coach, a role he held under Todd Golden.

The next move was pretty nostalgic for him, as he returned to where it all started: the University of Florida Gators, where he played from 2006 to 2011.

He was named an Assistant Coach and served three years, from March 2022 to March 2025. During his tenure, the Head Coach was Todd Golden, who, together with the team, helped the Gators become the 2025 NCAA National Champions.

“He just came to Columbia from the Gators, and you can just tell he has a championship mentality. Thank you to Coach Matt Elkin for inviting Steph to the camp. These are the most humble coaches by far. The atmosphere was amazing here and right in the heart of Manhattan made it such a fun time,” said a proud parent of a player, appreciating his role and leadership.

After a successful run in the SEC and the NCCA with Florida, he will now again compete in the Ivy League, but as a Head Coach.
