Jennifer Baxter, the Canadian curler, recently experienced a tragedy as her father, Blair Baxter, suddenly took his last breath on February 23, 2024.

Thus far, the prime reason behind Blair’s tragic passing remains unknown.

Blair left behind his wife Patricia and three kids, Justin, Nicole, and Jennifer “Jenn” Baxter, a Canadian curler who plays second on Team Christina Black.

The heartbreaking news coincides with a moment of pride as Blair and Patricia went to Thunder Bay to attend their daughter Jenn’s games.

Never had they ever imagined in their wildest dreams that they’d lose Blair during this moment.

Patricia Baxter had updated her friends and loved ones of their arrival at Thunder Bay, writing, “Finally arrived in Thunder Bay, it’s been a day, but glad to finally be on solid ground. A big hug and lunch from my girl made it all worth it. Go Team Black go.

Team Black broke the exclusive news of his passing in a Facebook statement which reads,

Our hearts are with Jenn and her family after the sudden passing of her father, Blair, yesterday afternoon. Blair and Patricia were here earlier this week watching some of Jenn’s games, as they always do when she is playing in a Scotties. He will be dearly missed. Please keep Jenn and her family in your thoughts during this difficult time.

Blair’s sister-in-law, Cynthia Murphy Arkens, commented on the post, expressing her grief, “My sister Patricia, nieces Jenn and Nicole, and nephew Justin have suffered a devastating loss. We are heartbroken by the passing of one of the finest men we have ever known.”

Likewise, she also penned a heartfelt announcement with an expression of gratitude, acknowledging a difficult situation, writing:

Jenn is en route to her mother, but Team Black will compete in his honor today. Thank you for your love and support on behalf of myself, our family, and Blair’s family.

Jennifer has yet to break the silence about Blair’s sudden passing. She remains out of public scrutiny, grieving the loss of her beloved father.

Thus far, the precise details of Blair’s funeral service have yet to be published by his family. Meanwhile, we offer our heartfelt condolence to his wife, Patricia, kids, and the extended Baxter family.

Blair Baxter and Patricia Baxter Shared Two Sons and a Son!

The couple were parents of three kids: daughters Jennifer and Nicole and son Justin Baxter.

Blair and Baxter welcomed Jennifer on April 4, 1987, in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

A year later, they extended their family with the arrival of son Justin Baxter on July 1, 1988. In contrast, details of their daughter Nicole aren’t available.

Jennifer started her curling career at a young age and made her first appearance at the Canadian Junior Curling Championships in 2007.

Blair was not just a parent for Jennifer; he was her coach, supporter, and biggest fan. Meanwhile, she is mourning his loss in private, staying away from the public eye.

As the curler navigates this challenging chapter in her life, she finds solace in knowing that Blair will forever be a part of her journey.

Blair walked Jennifer down the aisle at her wedding in December 2019. The curler married Jason Wilson and has two stepkids.

Meanwhile, little to no information about Blair’s profession is available. He maintained a low-key life away from the media.
