Dan Hurley and his brother, Bobby Hurley, have kept the Hurley family legacy shining. The two Hurley brothers also have a sister in Melissa Hurley.
Born two years apart, Bobby and Dan’s career trajectories couldn’t be more similar. Except for the fact that Bobby had the chance to play in the NBA, and Dan never took that route.
There was also a time when the little brother, Dan, appointed Bobby as his assistant coach before Bobby transferred elsewhere.
Now head coaches in respective programs, the Hurley brothers have made their father, a Hall of Fame basketball coach proud in every step.
In April, Dan became the only third coach in the history of UConn to lead the side to a national championship. His power forward, Adama Sanogo, played a key role in helping Huskey secure the title.
Today he signed a massive contract of six years worth close to $33 million. This deal will make him one of the highest-paid coaches in men’s basketball.
Dan Hurley Brother, Bobby Hurley
Dan Hurley’s brother, Bobby Hurley, is the head coach for the Arizona State basketball team. He is older than Dan by two years and was previously an NBA player for Sacramento Kings for six seasons.
Bobby’s coaching journey began in 2010 when he was announced as Wagner College’s assistant coach. This was the same time as his brother was the head coach.
After becoming an assistant coach for two seasons, Bobby moved to work with Rhode Island Ram’s basketball teams as associate head coach for a season.
He then worked with Buffalo Men’s basketball team for two seasons. This marked the first time he worked as a head coach of a basketball team.
Currently, at Arizona State, Bobby had his best finish in the 2018-19 season with a second position. Last season, his side tied for the fifth position and reached the Round of 64 in NCAA Division I.
Bobby Hurley Family Life
Bobby Hurley shares three kids with wife, Leslie Hurley, with whom he tied the knot on November 2, 1995.

She currently works as a Brand Partnerships Executive at Canal Company. His second child, Sydney Hurley, is a graduate of Arizona State University and currently works as a product line manager at Mitchell & Ness Nostalgia.
His son Bobby Hurley Jr has followed in his footsteps and is currently a basketball player with Arizona Sun Devils.

Dan Hurley’s sister, Melissa Hurley, is a former teacher who worked in New Jersey.
She met her husband, Gabe Ursic, while they both were teachers at Jersey Public School. Melissa taught grade three, whereas Gabe was a teacher for grades 4-7.
The couple has been married for 16 years and will soon celebrate their 17th wedding anniversary on July 8. Gabe and Melissa share two kids, a son named Gabe Ursic Jr. and a daughter named Anna Christine Ursic.
Both their children have an excellent talent in soccer and have won several competitions. They are also interested in the sports their uncles have earned plaudits.
Christine was also seen with her cousin, Andrew Hurley, son of Dan and Andrea Hurley, at a basketball camp.
Melissa has given the leverage to her two kids to have separate Instagram handles, but it continues to be moderated by her and her husband.
