Danette Colbert has been arrested in connection with the death of Adan Manzano, a sports reporter who was in New Orleans to cover Super Bowl LIX.

Adan Manzano was a 27-year-old sports reporter and anchor for Telemundo Kansas City and Tico Sports.

He was in New Orleans to cover Super Bowl LIX. Tragically, he was found dead in his hotel room in Kenner, Louisiana, on February 5, 2025.

Danette Colbert Has a History of Drugging Men, Committing Fraud, And Theft!

Danette Colbert, a 48-year-old woman from Louisiana, has been arrested in connection with Manzano’s death.

Hotel security footage shows Danette Colbert and Manzano entering his room together, with Colbert leaving alone later.

Colbert was later arrested for using Manzano’s credit card at several stores in the New Orleans area.

Regarding their relationship, there is no evidence to suggest that Adan Manzano and Danette Colbert were partners or had any personal relationship before the incident.

The investigation is ongoing, and while Colbert has been charged with fraud and theft-related offenses, more charges could be pending.

Before this, she has a history of drugging men and committing fraud and theft-related offenses.

She has been accused of repeatedly targeting men in bars, drugging them, and stealing valuables such as Rolex watches, large sums of money, and casino chips.

In 2022, she allegedly spiked a man’s drink and stole $50,000 in cash, a $30,000 Rolex, and $11,000 in casino chips.

Also before that, in 2014, she was arrested for using a stolen credit card at a supermarket in New Orleans.

When store staff recognized her from a police-issued wanted poster, she fled the scene but later returned with two accomplices to assault the store manager.

Sports Reporter Adan Manzano Is Survived By His Young Daughter, Eleanor!

Manzano was born in Mexico City and earned his degree from Kansas State University.

He joined the Kansas City Chiefs Television Crew as a sideline reporter at the beginning of the 2024 NFL season.

He was passionate about bringing the game of football to a Spanish-speaking audience.

Moreover, he was covering his third consecutive Super Bowl when he tragically passed away.

His personal life was filled with tragic events. His wife, Ashleigh LeeAnn Boyd, was killed in a car crash on April 11, 2024, in Shawnee County, Kansas.

She was a second-grade teacher at Lowman Hill Elementary School in Topeka, Kansas, and was remembered for her kind and caring nature.

The couple had a young daughter named Eleanor, who survived the car crash.

It is extremely tragic that within a span of one year, Eleanor lost both her beloved mother and father.
