Danny Roberts, a Colorado Springs-based, renowned local drag racing star, passed away in a tragic accident on Saturday, October 25, 2025, leaving his loved ones shattered.

According to reports, Danny Roberts died after a fatal on-track accident at Pueblo Motorsports Park on Saturday afternoon.

Furthermore, the crash was caused by a mechanical failure in Robert’s vehicle and marked the first fatal accident in the PMP ‘s 50-year history.

Roberts, also known as Mustang Danny, was widely admired in the Colorado drag racing community and had a decades-long career competing in a variety of events, including numerous races at Pueblo Motorsports Park.

Beyond his achievements on the track, Danny was known for his kind and cheerful nature, leaving a lasting impact on everyone he met.

Similarly, the untimely death of Danny Roberts has left a profound void in the lives of his family, friends, and loved ones.

Fellow racers and loved ones are sharing their grief and memories on social media, noting how Roberts’ passion and generosity had touched countless lives throughout his career.

May the dragstrip and racers in the sky welcome him home,” one tribute read.

Another added:

“No more obnoxious good morning texts. No more sending and receiving so many videos that it’s impossible to keep up. No more getting stupid “if your name starts with A, you owe this person pizza” memes. Racing is a deadly sport. Danny was a true car guy through and through. At this point the only comfort comes from knowing he died doing what he loved and he’s with his dad now.I’m gonna miss you.”

Likewise, Pueblo Motorsports Park also took to its official social media to pay tribute to its beloved racer and extend heartfelt condolences to Danny’s family during this difficult time.

The post reads:

“Danny was not only a racer, he was like family to our track staff. To the racers, he was always the first to lend a hand in the pits, or to help line someone up, or cheer you on from the starting line. His passion for drag racing and the love he showed our racing community were easy to see in the smile he wore at the track whenever he was here. He showed unwavering support for our drag racing programs that was unmatched.Our hearts go out to his family, friends, and all who loved him. We are grateful for the memories we have and will forever be thankful to have had Danny in our corner over the years.Rest easy, Mustang Danny. You’ll always be a part of this track — and you’ll never be forgotten.”

Danny Roberts is Survived By His Longtime Partner, Kimberly King, His Children, and The Entire Family

Danny Roberts was not just a passionate racer but also a devoted partner to his longtime partner, Kimberly King, and a great father to his children.

His partner, Kimberly King, who is also actively involved in the racing community, often shares pictures of Danny Roberts on social media expressing her love and pride for him.

Similarly, the couple proudly raised two adorable sons and instilled in them the love and passion for racing from a very young age.

In addition to his two sons and partner, Danny Roberts is survived by his daughter, Breanna Lynn Roberts, whom he shared with his former partner, Jenny Roberts; his grandchildren; and his entire family.

The Colorado community has created a GoFundMe to help Danny’s family with the expenses during this tragic time. The fundraiser aims to raise $16k, and to date, around $9,901 has been raised.
