In the early hours of Sunday morning, tragedy struck near the intersection of Kedron, MacDade, and Maple Avenues in Ridley Township.
Emergency personnel were dispatched shortly before 4 a.m. after receiving reports of a motorcycle crash near Tasty Fingers.
Witnesses in the area heard a loud crash before calling authorities.
According to emergency radio traffic, police officers arrived at the scene and discovered two people lying on the ground, reporting “no signs of life” to incoming units.
The crash occurred when a motorcycle collided with a pole in the parking lot area of Tasty Fingers.
Officers immediately requested medics and closed MacDade Boulevard for an extended period as a crash investigation team and the Delaware County Medical Examiner’s Office were called to the scene.
Authorities have not yet released official details of the crash, but friends and family later confirmed that one of the victims was Katrina Pennell, a beloved young mother whose life was tragically cut short.
Katrina Pennell’s family shared the heartbreaking news of her passing, describing her as a “loving and devoted mom” who brought light and laughter to everyone around her.
She leaves behind her 7-year-old daughter, Milani, who was the center of her world.
Her aunt, Felicia Gallo, expressed the family’s pain, saying,
